Nice staff

This is a very unique hotel which makes for both positives and negatives. The hotel consists of some 20 buildings around the main hotel building. The other buildings are reconverted houses or businesses done into hotel rooms. Our building was a short walk away to where the breakfast was served each morning. The whole area was remarkably quiet. On the positive it’s located in a great location. We could walk literally everywhere. And there are no shortage of restaurants and coffee shops nearby. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The main reception area is beautiful with a turn of the last century feel to it. An excellent breakfast is served here as well as happy hour on certain days. Sitting for happy hour or even just relaxing in those chairs after a long day is very wonderful. You could feel the history here. However sitting in those large chairs with your plate in your lap is actually rather awkward and takes away from the experience. Another positive is the hotel room is very clean, spacious and comfortable. The bed was good and we never felt crowded in the room. It was a bit of a walk back to the breakfast room but not that big of a deal (although during inclement weather that might be a challenge). We did have noise issues with the room above and we asked to be relocated to a quieter room. This sadly took way from our experience in the hotel.

I love, LOVE the Great George and have stayed there numerous times over the years. My suite was superb, well-appointed and spotlessly clean. The staff, as always, was friendly and extremely professional. For those new to Charlottetown, the location of the Great George is perfect - it's an easy walk to all of the downtown attractions and amenities. A++

Most beautiful ans super clean hotel just absolutely loved it … we came from Lavaltrie a bit far but would go back for sure!

The cleaning staff was very nice and very helpful. My bed and bathroom were very clean which is the most important but the light fixtures and baseboards could use a good cleaning. This would not deter me from returning but it did make me skeptical about using the drinking glasses in the room. Not a good current for charging my electronics. Very cute and unique hotel, I was very glad I choose it especially because I don't think the hotel description gave the justice it deserved. Nice hotel, I was very happy overall.

Overall a great experience.

We loved our stay at The Great George. Such a charming, beautiful old hotel. The hotel has been completely updated and has air conditioning, an elevator and beautiful bathrooms. The Great George is right across the street from the Basilica and in a quiet area very close to restaurants and shopping.

The parking is a bit of a challenge but the boutique hotel is very nice

Great location... a few blocks from all the places we wanted to go.

I would give everything very high marks other than the breakfast area. Breakfast itself was excellent, but I would suggest small tables and chairs would be much better than couches with very low coffee tables.

Staff were amazing. A beautiful spot to enjoy in the heart of downtown Charlottetown.

Great overnight stay in downtown Charlottetown location. Close to all the sites including the theatre. Wonderull top floor appartment with all the conveniences needed. Wonderful breakfast provided as well.

Everything was beautiful

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Great George Hotel in Charlottetown. The beautifully restored heritage buildings, comfortable accommodations, and warm Island hospitality made for a wonderful stay and great choice for my birthday trip! The location is perfect for exploring downtown Charlottetown on foot, and the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The complimentary breakfast and afternoon treats were a lovely touch. We lol Forward to staying here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Prince Edward Island.
