I made a mistake of not knowing St. John building was not directly on the beach with the actual hotel but across the street to the left. Check-in was not very quick and staff seemed overwhelmed. Also side note. Parking for the actual Carvelle Resort is across the street in same area as Check-in office. However, it is an additional $12 per day. In addition to $39.00 fee if you chose to opt out a $250.00 damaged depost that is due immediately. Once we were pointed in the direction of our hotel after what seemed to be a 39 minute wait we checked out the room to only find that the floor was bubbled and squeal everytime we walked ontop of it. Dirty rags that were most likely left by the cleaning crew on top of the microwave. Dirty dusty plastic flower arrangement and a bathtub that did not drain when showering was so gross, definitively icing on the cake and and no phone in the room to reach the front desk. I would say on a positive note St. John "motel" has its own pool which was not overly crowded like the pool across the street at the real Carvelle Resort and was quite for the most part. Would I stay at a Carvelle resort again... that would be a big NO.

Hotel is in a good location travel to grocery stores, gas, fun things for the family was all within 10-20 minute drive or walking distance. The property itself is like most other hotels in myrtle beach and is run down and needs updating. The parking garage was tight but manageable, even for a bigger vehicle/suv/truck. Elevators were really uncomfortable and humid and took forever but the room was really nice and clean. Kitchen was adequate size and worked perfect for our family of 5. The staff seemed friendly and check in went smoothly. There were multiple ice machine locations and snack/drink machines that all seemed to be in working order. The pools were nice for all of our kids (ages 3-11) to enjoy. The indoor pool and hot tubs looked like they needed more water and werent as well maintained as the outdoor pool and kiddie area, but were still okay. Short distance to the beach, but only one of the showers to rinse off were in working order. Over all we would absolutely stay here again.

I took my Family for 3 days Vacations to this Hotel we like to stay in full Hotel for better accommodation.. well this literally it is at MOTEL..with full Hotel Price .... the bulding it's INFESTED with ROACHES .....The SHower ceiling leak yellow water...BUT they charge you $200 for incidents... i should send the bill to them for what cost me to clean my belongs after we left the NASty MOTEL *rude stuff *dirty pools *they charge for parking * they give YOU free ROACHES * BRing your RAID

We were close to the beach. The parking spaces were too close and always full.

King sized oceanfront room. Very tidy, nice cool air in the room.. kitchen area as well. View was amazing, sliding door the whole length of the wall out to balcony to enjoy the ocean. Def would stay here again on our next trip..

The check in process was quick however the host did not even greet us. She was not polite at all. We get to our room and there is a bag of trash and a bag of dirty linens in front our door. I called the office and was told someone would come get it. We stayed 2 days and the day we left it was still there. We had bugs in our room and on our bed. I went to the office to complain and ask for a different room but was told they were fully booked. I will never stay here again and I will not recommend anyone else stay here either.

Nothing to say, I just won't be returning.

Caravelle towers is dirty, old, and not like the photos. The staff was accommodating and moved us to the caravalle resort side where we got a decent hotel room with cleaner room. It was still a little plain and outdated and could use a deep clean. The pool area was great! If it wouldn’t have been for the great pool area and us moving rooms we would’ve been very disappointed with our stay. We likely will not stay again, but managed for our stay and made the best of it.

I was at St. John Inn. The water went out for a few hours the day before we left which didn’t affect us too much but it could have been really annoying especially on vacation. Other than that, it was a beautiful room with plenty of space for us. The outside doesnt do the rooms justice so don’t let the look fool you. Would recommend to anyone on a trip!

I thought i was booking the Caravelle, but was at St. Johns Inn, which is apparently part of the property. The property has close beach access, but is NOT on the beach as advertised. The property is very dated and not cated for inside. The positives: good balcony, beds are comfortable, pool.is nice. The rest is a dump. I was only there for a few days or i would have demanded to be moved as it was advertised.

After check-in maintenance entered my unit while my minor daughter was there alone. When i returned he explained that he was completing a work order to spray for mold that was suppose to be filled before my arrival. (I checked in at almost 6pm) My entire unit was soaked with the bleach solution that he used and the fumes were intolerable. I had to leave the unit for hrs to let the room air out and be cleaned again. The only other option was a room significantly smaller than the one i booked. I was told by front desk personnel that my stay would be comp'd due to the properties negligence as well as inconveniences. The bleach fumes were still very strong when i was allowed back in. When leaving the poperty i inquired about my compensation and the manager told me they would not refund me only issue a giftcard for 2 nights. She told me i paid through a third party and if i tried to contact that third party for a refund she would reject it. She lied to the third party stating that i was asked to leave on my check out date. Apparently the front desk staff isnt properly trained under her management. I feel she needs additional training as well. Usually when I visit Myrtle Beach I usually stay in North Myrtle. This experience and solidified that any future stay will definitely not me with Caravelle.

Did not know there wasn't daily maid service. Staff outstanding...very friendly.

There was not a restaurant for lunch or dinner on the property. There was mold on the rooms ceiling.

Dirty appliances and uncomfortable beds.

We weren’t at the advertised resort we were put in a partnered resort/condominium which was dated, counters and cabinets were falling apart. Water leaked water. Wasn’t equipped with any cleaning supplies ie(mop, bucket). The location was perfect. Very short walk to beach. We did have access to main resort and water park which was cool. I’d never book there again.

The property was ok. I had two garbage cans parked outside of my door, the air-conditioning system that extends on the balcony leaked the whole time and it was rusty, no dishwasher. The furniture was out dated. The resort was nice but very crowded.
