I visited in January, during the low season, and found the experience peaceful and enchanting. Due to seasonal renovations, check-in was at Les Terrasses Poulard, and I’m unsure if my room was the one originally assigned. However, it was lovely—situated up the steps behind a red gate, with a small courtyard and classic architecture. The room itself was simple yet charming, featuring a sas, clean and comfortable beds, a bathtub with hot water, and a stunning view of rooftops, the sea, and seagulls outside a classic paned window that welcomed the fresh sea breeze. Staying on the island overnight was an unforgettable experience. The quiet, dark evenings made for serene walks, and waking up for the sunrise at Tour du Nord was indescribable—a breathtaking panorama of sky, sea, and Mont Saint-Michel’s silhouette, all without the usual crowds. One important tip: Dinner service on the island is short, and there are no convenience stores—only a few vending machines. Be sure to plan your meals early to avoid being caught without options. If given the chance, I would gladly return to relive this magical experience.
