La chambre, au rez de chaussée, était grande et relativement moderne. Les rideaux sont suffisamment épais pour bien masquer la lumière extérieure, ce qui est rare. Pas de climatisation mais nous avions une chambre qui n’était pas orientée face au soleil, c’était donc agréable. Le petit déjeuner était correct, rien d’incroyable mais suffisant (viennoiseries moyennes mais pain de qualité). J’avais réservé pour 1 personne, nous étions finalement 2 : l’hôtel nous a facturé 30€ supplémentaire ce que j’ai trouvé élevé, et je n’ai pas eu le détail (petit déjeuner et taxe de séjour j’imagine).

Great breakfast and very helpful staff. Location was great. Get a downstairs room on hot days because the upper floor gets toasty. Restaurant was good as well.

Das Zimmer war angenehm groß und das Frühstück sehr lecker, mit einer wirklich guten und vielfältigen Auswahl. Leider ist das Hotel insgesamt deutlich in die Jahre gekommen. Man hat den Eindruck, dass seit mehreren Jahrzehnten kaum etwas renoviert oder modernisiert wurde. Besonders negativ aufgefallen sind uns die sehr schmutzigen Fenster, sowohl im Zimmer als auch im Frühstücksraum. Im Frühstücksraum hingen außerdem deutlich sichtbare Spinnweben an der Decke. Auch der Ausblick aus dem Frühstücksraum war leider nicht besonders schön. Statt einer gepflegten Umgebung blickt man eher auf einen ungepflegten Hinterhof mit viel Unkraut. Insgesamt gibt es durchaus positive Punkte, insbesondere das große Zimmer und das gute Frühstück, aber beim Zustand und bei der Sauberkeit besteht aus unserer Sicht deutlicher Verbesserungsbedarf.

The ladies at reception were very helpful and informative. Room was clean and quiet. The bar food and breakfast were very good, with the breakfast buffet refreshed regularly and the food service was excellent. The location is very good and close to the N11 and to Bray seafront and there was plenty of parking.

The reception ladies where fabulous they helped us every day and the French guy at the bar was so lovely and friendly I can’t believe how lovely my few days away where and the staff made it all the better xx

Extremely friendly staff on reception and also in the restaurant. Easy parking. Room bright and clean. Useful literature about places to visit. Good breakfast to start the day.

Great hotel, will stay there again

This hotel is fine. The rooms are spacious. The free breakfast is quite grand and the food is decent, my only complaint would be the coffee, it was really watery. This is a no-frills stay that is fine for travelers, and the rates are reasonable.

Dirty and cobwebs on Windows, broken tiles on bathroom floor and elsewhere in hotel. Dining area had problems with floor, anytime someone walked in the whole floor would shake and spill tea etc. Bar closed before 11. Heather on in hotel when temperature was early twenties. Breakfast very average, cutlery all mixed together.

Staff are incredible at this hotel, very friendly and helpful. But the carpets, bathroom and toilets are not kept to a good standard.

Basic is all I can say at an expensive price

Lovely people, excellent breakfast, spacious well appointed room, a great hotel just a 25 minute walk into town.

We stayed here after our ferry crossing as Dublin was too expensive. Parking was useful and the food was good.

Great location for us, staff lovely

Unfortunately our room had a few issues. There were very few tv channels that worked. The sink had no plug. Trying to make a cup of tea was awkward as the facilities were under the roof eaves.

What they fail to tell you is that this place is more like a hostel and certainly not a 4 star. It houses refugees which in itself is not an issue but they’ve let the standard of the hotel go down as they’re guaranteed funds from the Irish government. The restaurant is located in the lobby and the general upkeep of the rooms is terrible. The pictures in Hotel.com are not representative of what it looks like and they charge €155. The kids houses there run around the corridors and are noisy. They should not do both. Choose what they want to be. Will not revisit and Hotel.com meet to reevaluate their rating
