We booked a one-night experience for ourselves, our two sons and their respective wives at this highly rated facility as part of our vacation. We arrived early for our check-in, so one of three rooms was available which was fine. The rooms were large but had a musty smell when we entered. The bed was comfortable, but most of the amenities are dated. That said, this was meant to be a “lodge”, so our expectations may have been too high. The hotel facilities, which included a small pool, hot tub, gym, spa and a bocce ball court, overlooking the coast. The quality and tastes of the food was average at best. We enjoyed some “happy hour” snacks and breakfast on-site. Overall, the food was a bit bland and a touch too salty. The view from the restaurants was spectacular nonetheless. Overall, we had a wonderful visit to the area and this facility.

Our room was not ready at 4pm, came back later and still not ready so they moved us to another room. Seems like they could have done that before we arrived. So check in took way too long.

The staff were wonderful. Benjamin was especially helpful.

The view from the property was beautiful and the staff very friendly. The restaurant on site had delicious food and drinks. The room was my only negative. The bed made noise every time you moved and the fireplace had crumbling bricks.

Wish the pool area was quieter.

Wonderful staff and lovely accommodations. This is clearly the best hotel in Bodega bay. The room was clean, there was a nice view and everything was smooth. Room service was fast and the food was delicious. I highly recommend this hotel.

Perfect get away

Large spacious rooms with very friendly staff, great food at the restaurant and drinks at the bar. All round a great and relaxing experience

It was tough to find a good hotel up here on our road trip, but Bodega Bay Lodge ended up being such a wonderful surprise. The view from the property is absolutely amazing — you can just sit and watch the bay for hours. The pool and hot tub overlooking the water were the perfect way to relax after driving, and the fire pits at night made it feel so cozy. The restaurant on site was excellent, with fresh seafood and a great wine list, so we didn’t even feel the need to go anywhere else for dinner. In the morning, we took a walk down to Bodega Beach, which was such a peaceful start to the day. The whole place has this mix of comfort, charm, and relaxation that made us wish we had planned to stay longer. We’d definitely come back on another trip — it’s the kind of place that makes you slow down and really enjoy the moment.

A quiet well taken care of luxury stop in Bodega Bay. Drake restaurant menu on site includes very good dishes. Very comfortable room with great view on the Bay to enjoy magical sunrise and sunset.

Beautiful ocean views from our upper floor room. Very large and comfortable room. Super comfortable bed. Fireplace was a nice touch.
