I arrived at 6.30pm after a 300 mile drive to be informed that my pre-booked room was no longer available. I stay in hotels a lot and have never known this to happens before, a point I made to the reception staff who informed me its quite normal and happens often. ! The reception staff then spent half an hour on the phone to nearby hotels trying to fine a room for me which they eventually did, so back in the car for a drive to a hotel a few miles away. I’m a Hilton Honours member and this incident has put me off staying at their hotels again unfortunately.
