Family owned business, assisted with very friendly staff. Also provides a baby pool with snacks poolside extremely clean and the renovations have kept to the beauty of what is the koala hotel

Great little family run hotel. Easy walk to restaurants, each and everything you need. Very clean,friendly staff, very clean pool. Breakfast limited but enough to get you going in the morning. This is a two star hotel so don't expect luxuries - bathroom small and shower very tiny but does the trick. Decor needs a little uplift. They do a good job for the price here. Would stay again.

Basic hotel but helpfulness of staff boosts it's rating. Clean and in good neighborhood. Easy walking distance to sights. Good value for the reasonably priced rooms.

Location was good,15 mins from the harbour area .The staff were very pleasant and professional.My room was clean and everything worked as it should.The shower was a bit small,but only a minor thing.The breakfast was continental with alternate boiled eggs and scrambled.One slight observation was that it would have been nicer just to have a few more hot items.All in all though a pleasant stay.

2 star hotel with a 5 star experience. Spotlessly clean, great breakfast, great pool and the most friendliness staff and owners we have ever come across. They all work hard to make your stay the best. It will aways be our first port of call should we go back to Kos, I can most honestly and genuinely recommend this hotel as value for money and a great stay.

Great place to stay in Kos. Quiet and clean. Relaxing environment. Very modern security to enter rooms. Breakfast in a nice court yard.

Enjoyed 2 night stay @ Koala Hotel recently. Reviews were true to form, not exactly most up-to-date facilities, but cleanliness and service to put some 5 stars to shame. And a lovely pool area too.

nice welcome on arrival, room immaculate and well presented. easy to find and within walking distance of main harbour area. we only stayed for one night but would happily go back for a longer holiday.

How does the Koala get a 4.3/5 rating on here? By focusing on the details and offering very good value for money, along with friendly service. If you want a super little family hotel to stay at, 5 mins walk from the beach, 10 from the town and with plenty of tavernas within 5 mins, then the Koal is for you. It's small, clean, has a nice bar, does a decent contintental breakfast and has a small, but useable pool and sitting area. Recommended.

Not bad for the price. Basic room with a pool and decent lobby area for drinks. Good location about 15 minutes walk from the port and 2 blocks from the water. Furniture was the standard tired Greek style but had been painted. Owner was mostly helpful and nice, but on the departing day there was an electrical problem with no hot water and no accommodation was made to rectify that. Greek customer service is not good in general (when compared to the states), so I would still say this was an above average stay.

Very clean nice hotel run by a lovely family who will look after you if you need any travel advice or directions. Good pool deck and rooftop sunning area.

Reasonable value, friendly staff and just outside the busy part of Kos but easy distance from beach and town.

hotel needs a total makeover however the staff will help with anything you need . its in a very quite area away from all the noise

i liked the Hotel. The staff were friendly and my room very clean. The breakfast was very good with a good selection of food. They could improve the pool area and make the roof area useable. But I would be happy to recommend this hotel to a friend.

I stayed at the Koala Hotel for only one night early in the tourist season in Kos (early May). The room was very basic, but then so was the price. During my brief stay there were a few problems: the air conditioning unit didn't work (had not controls), neither were controls for the TV provided; there was no hot water in the middle of the day (2 to 3 pm). and the walls were paper thin, so a lot of noise communicated between rooms. Since I didn't try to resolve any of these issues, I can't comment on the responsiveness of hotel staff. The hotel is close to the marina, if you have business there, and a reasonable walk from the center of Kos. All in all, good value for cost even with a few issues.
