Hébergement vieillissant mais bien entretenu. Chambre communicante pratique. On sent que cela devait être 1 bel hôtel mais qui vieillit. Étape agréable tout de même à côté du lac.

Chambre à rénover et mal entretenue. Chauffage qui ne s'éteint pas. Fenêtres qui s'ouvrent à peine donc on ne peut pas aérer et il faisait très chaud. De la rouille dans la baignoire. Moquette hors d usage. Mais personnel très sympathique et bon petit déjeuner.

Lovely hotel staff. Hotel could do with an upgrade but was very clean. Bar was good. Lovely place in the world. We had a great weekend there.

Questa struttura è davvero molto bella infatti viene usata anche come location per matrimoni. Il personale è stato gentilissimo nel indicarci le zone da visitare Durante il nostro viaggio. È possibile fare delle passeggiate lungo il lago e il parcheggio è veramente comodo.

Beautiful hotel, great rooms and a very pleasant and (proactive) helpful staff. Unfortunately the restaurant was closed for diner but alternatives were provided. I arrived with a large bike case as I was going to do some bikepacking in the Argyll and it was no problem at all to leave my bike case in the hotel for a week.

Property needs a big injection of cash. Shabby in places. No food available on Sunday evening. Receptionist was excellent

The hotel overall is very ‘tired’, with the exterior, in particular, in poor repair. With the assistance of a very helpful receptionist we changed rooms as the window in our first room had failed seals and so the sea view was non-existent due to condensation. The second room had two windows, one of which also had condensation (and so no view). At check in we were also informed that they had problems with the kitchen, so the restaurant was not available. While the bedding was clean, the mattress was very hard and the pillows were very thin and lumpy. Overall, we were disappointed with our stay - and would not have chosen the hotel if the Hotels.com reviews had at least indicated some of these issues.

Lovely hotel. Amazing staff. Only downfall was the church bells that ring on the hour. Including overnight. Would stay again even with the chimes due to the amazing staff and homely feel of the hotel.

We were very disappointed with the breakfast, I booked and paid in advance of our stay which included an English breakfast but on arrival to the breakfast room it was continental only which was quite poor, only cut bread, only whole fruit no fresh fruit cocktail, meat's and cheese of poor quality, croissants and Danish pastries were crispy and dry. No evening restaurant food (Thursday), dirty mug left inte room, no milk in the room,I will not be staying here again.

No.hot breakfast available . Limited dinner options. Staff are excellent. Rooms need re decorating .

This is a tired old hotel and it’s not well run. It’s in a nice position but for 2 of our 3 nights, things weren’t really working. The kitchen was closed, the bar was serving warm beer and the bedroom was really cold. No one warned us in advance of any issues, which was frustrating. The staff are mostly young, and doing their best, but there was no sense of anyone taking responsibility. All of that might have been fine, if it had been much cheaper.

Lovely staff, but the hotel could be so much better by upgrading the rooms and increasing availability of food on offer. The gardens could also be beautiful if maintained properly. Regular bus service to and from Helensburgh which has lots of restaurants to choose from, but would be nice to be able to eat in the hotel if have been out all day.

Un très bel hôtel, très bien situé face au bras de mer. Malheureusement, nous avons été très déçu par la chambre (20), pas du tout conforme aux images. Je n'ai pas souvent l'habitude de critiquer mais en autre moquette tachée, plafond qui se décolle, aucune prise ne fonctionne sauf celle à l'intérieur du placard pour la cafetière, pas de chauffage (12 degrés à l'extérieur début juin). Si les autres chambres sont identiques, l'hôtel a vraiment besoin d'être rénové pour un 4 étoiles. Petit déjeuner très moyen, avec un personnel très jeune pas au niveau. Au global, l'hôtel nous a sûrement donné la chambre la pire de l'établissement pour une nuit, dommage.

Overall tired and there is no cooked breakfast which apparently was changed recently but they did not advise us and there were no apologies either. Room bathroom was generally grubby. Carpet was dirty. It has clearly seen better times.

There was no restaurant as advertised on website and on hotel notice board. Room very tatty decor. Heater in bathroom and bedroom didn’t work. Window cracked and others filthy. There was also an 18 birthday party below our room with noisy music going on to 1.00am. No way is this a 4 star hotel. Also info given to us about nearby eating places was incorrect. We complained to managress who in fairness was very apologetic and refunded our stay.

Staff were excellent, but the experience was badly let down by the condition of the room which was in dire need of a refurbishment. Breakfast was poor with a toaster which took an age to lightly brown the bread, croissants which were clearly not fresh and bananas which were rotten throughout. Such a shame, because it's location was excellent. We definitely expected better.

Really enjoyed the hotel just a few minor issues, the bedroom was to hot and went to the bar and had to wait about 10 mins for a drink as the girl in the bar area was only 17 and had to wait for a older member of staff to come, overall it was a good stay

We had pleasant stay in the hotel with affordable price. Only if more entertainment such smart TV in the future, that will be great!. From Canada

Bedroom was lovely, bathroom was very tired and needing tiles, flooring and door replaced, bar area was nice, but the high backed chairs needed a good clean. Dining room was faultless. Would stay again
