This was our first time to Casa Velas. We liked how everything looked. It has beautiful landscaping and it is maintained very well. We were greeted warmly and everyone we passed always met us with a smile, a greeting, and a hand placed over their heart. The entire staff is genuinely gracious and kind. Many team members went out of their way to accommodate us which we appreciated. The restaurant service and the food were outstanding. I ate so much! I even requested chorizo added into my chilaquiles and eggs Benedict and the chef made great dishes with it. Even the appetizers (salad, soup, and caprese) were delicious. In fact, I ordered both the Cesar salad and the Tropical Caprese along with my dinner because I couldn't decide on which one to get. There was also a wide variety of drinks available at the restaurant, Pool side bar, and Lobby Bar. The Beach Club (their property outside of the hotel) had great service too and their Tostada Zen was so good that we had 3 of them. A shout out to some of the employees that we encountered were Sarahi and Miguel at the front desk, Ramon and Antonio at the pool bar, and Omar, Gerardo, and Ulises at their restaurant. It is employees like the ones I mentioned above that make us want to return. Not only is their hotel beautiful but they have team members who are the ones who make the experience worth it.

Excelente para una estancia cómoda, tranquila, relajante y con excelente servicio. Los alimentos y bebidas son de primer nivel. Muy recomendable en parejas que busquen tranquilidad y excelente atención.

Casa Velas by far has been one of the best resorts my husband and I have stayed at. The staff always went above and beyond. The food was outstanding. All the ingredients were always fresh and delicious. The swim up bar at the pool was probably my favorite spot on the resort. Ramon and Antonio were always ready and willing to prepare us another delicious cocktail. Our room was tidied up to appear like it was our first night there. We also scheduled a wonderful couples massage at the spa which I also give it 5 stars! I cant think of a single that we did not like. We will definitely book this resort again.

Property was very well kept and clean. Room service was excellent. The beach club was closed and I really wanted to visit Tau Beach Club. Instead they had a suite near the beach but the vibe wasn’t what we expected. Only negative about the experience was after each food or drink event I was given a bill. I’d rather just go through the week and at the end of my stay leave one big tip instead of 25 small tips.

The property was gorgeous, I loved all the tropical foliage. The pool area was spectacular. The room was spacious, cool and quiet. The staff was exceptional. We enjoyed our meals at the onsite restaurant and our time at The Beach Club. My only regret was The Beach Club wasn’t open on Sunday and that was disappointing. We were directed to the sister property which was also nice with beach front area. Overall excellent stay, would book again.

Increíble experiencia en Casa Velas! El servicio es extremadamente profesional; no solo son los mejores en su trabajo también son excelentes personas. La bebida, la comida, las instalaciones, todo ha resultado excelente. Lo único negativo o área de oportunidad que le veo es que es molesto que en cada espacio de consumo tengas de “cerrar” la cuenta en vez de levantarte e irte al ser todo incluido. Creo que debería de funcionar como los cruceros con una tarjeta que vaya recolectando el consumo. Pero fuera de eso, todo es excelente Definitivamente volveré, gracias por unas vacaciones especiales.

The property was clean, relaxing, well maintained and I would go back for sure.

We stayed for two nights to relax and recharge prior to a large family gathering. Casa Velas was perfect for our purpose. I wouldn't change anything.

Beautiful, quiet place. The pool was a bit too cold for our liking. The restaurant food was about a 7.

El hotel está en gran estado, la limpieza es perfecta. Probablemente algo del mobiliario de habitaciones empiece a necesitar renovación, pero el servicio hace que ese detalle menor sea irrelevante. TODO el personal es extraordinario, y están más que atentos y dispuestos a darte una gran experiencia. El restaurante no tiene una carta muy extensa, pero todo es de buena calidad, miso caso del Club de Playa. En buen lugar para descansar.

This was our third trip to Casa Velas. We thought it couldn't get any better and then we saw the new breakfast menu and wine list. So glad to have some lighter options for breakfast, and the new wines are excellent. Of course it’s the staff that always makes us want to keep coming back. Notably, Camila, Gerardo, and Omar at breakfast; Enrique, Carlos, and Antonio at Tao; Avaldo and Ramon at the Aqua Bar; and Daniel, Gerardo, Rigo, Rosacio at dinner. We’re already planning our next trip back! Not a complaint, but the only thing we’d like to see different is if Casa Velas would offer the build-your-own pasta dish offered for dinner, as it’s currently only on the lunch menu. The lunch menu at Emiliano's is so great, but we usually find ourselves at Tao or Aqua Bar...
