Smell moldy everywhere in the hotel from the moment you step in. It's worse in the room than in the lobby. It was very disgusting and made me sick. Air outside wasn't smelly and was not humid. Something is wrong with the hotel and I feel it was from the moldy carpet. You don't want to stay here even though there is a free night.

Room had torn carpet, mold on ceiling,hot tub and ac made terrible noise

Everything was good, only thing coffee would like for them to have a pot making it to the instant i was kind cold.

The hotel was nice with friendly staff. Could have had coffee made before 6 am. Hot tub didn't work. Overall very clean , friendly and quiet .

This hotel needs major cleaning. Our restroom was very dirty, the bed sheets were ripped, and we saw a cockroach in our room as well. The walls looked like they had mold.

I found this property and booked it based on the rating. Very disappointed. Disgusting and dirty. Ceiling water damaged. Dirty spots on bedspread. Bathroom disgusting/rusty toilet. Don’t stay here. Breakfast - no juice, food not good.

There was a bad humid smell as soon as you go in the hotel and room. The breakfast was poor not much to choose from.

On the first day here to my utter surprise I found a tick on the bed and upon further inspection there were roaches under the bed. If I could include photos I would but I cant. Wifi didnt work and when it did, only for a minute or two. Elevator hardly works, hallways stink. The "gym" they had available had no working machines. The most exciting part of the stay was checking out.

Property was perfectly located for my use, but was in disparate need of a upgrade/makeover.

Staff was friendly and helpful but hotel was a huge letdown. Thought staying on the island would be nice but should have drove across the bridge and paid much less for a far better room. Grounds were dirty, not clean outside and room was sub par. shower curtains and places on wall had mold. Missing light fixture, hallways didn’t look cleaned. Temp in halls and lobby was warm. Room AC made noises all night and cooled just enough for sleeping. Wouldn’t have said a thing if room was &50-$100 but $146 on weeknight and close to $250 on weekends. Very disappointed and won’t ever stay there again. Should have taken photos.

Great location and nice hotel...only thing we didn't like was that one of the beds had sand towards the feet end like it had been used and not cleaned. But the other bed was fine.

Very dirty. Needs upgrade

The toilet and bathroom floor were filthy. The bathroom door would not shut easily as it dragged the ground and had to be forcefully closed. The bottom nightstand drawer would not stay shut. The fridge was not cold. There was rust in the bathtub and all over the floor by the ice machine. The bed and linens were comfortable. The hallway was hot and humid.

The bathroom was not as clean as it should have been. Other than that, it was a OK hotel.

Check-in took long , the baseboards were dirty behind the bed stand looked like mole. The bedsheets had holes, the hallway had a strong smell, breakfast was horribly limited they ran out off eggs. My key card didn’t work after the first day . The only great thing about this stay was the air condition in the room worked amazingly great. Kept the room so cold and nice.

The pool was very dirty and cloudy and back door of the property door was propped open very unsafe. And didn’t lock!

The hotel is pretty much falling apart. They ran out of hot eggs or didn’t provide them the days we were there, coffee was cold. Staff was nice but the property is not in great shape. The location was close to the beach so that’s a plus.

It was ok, clean bed in a run down hotel. Common areas are dirty and everything from exterior doors not locking to pool door missing the handle completely and the hot tub not working, took one look at breakfast and decided to play it safe and eat elsewhere.

It is time for La Quinta to undergo a major renovation at this hotel. Lots of broken stuff like the ice machine, the room door did not shut automatically. You had to really push or pull on the door to get it to shut. I stay on N Padre Island quite a bit and have stayed at all the hotels there, and this LaQuinta needs a Ton of help. If you are not going to renovate, at least Clean the hotel!
