During our stay (6 days) in Birmingham, the weather was freezing, around 0 degree and minor in evening time. However, the heating system of the Hotel was down for 4 days. When we reported to the reception, they had promised to follow but in vain. Then, different reception staff told us different reasons why their heating system was down. It is quite unacceptable. Fortunately, in the last 2 days, one of the night staff provided a portable heater to us. No apology was received from the hotel so far when we asked the update of the maintenance at the front desk. It seems the heating problem is a normal situation of the hotel. We are very disappointed of their service and follow up manner.

Good stay. Pleasant hotel with friendly and helpful staff, great location for the Utilita Arena (20 min walk). Lovely breakfast.

Great location for Birmingham City centre (two minute walk to local tram stop) with out the expense of the large chain hotel groups, easy parking at an affordable rate, pleasant and efficient staff , well appointed room with good amenities. Choice of a well stocked bar serving drinks and food or hotel restaurant serving evening food and breakfast, whilst some parts are a little dated or tired the hotel is very comfortable and welcoming for a couple of nights stay.

Few staff members but the ones there were were amazing, hardworking, wanted to please , polite and helpful. Nice bar area . Good size rooms with table and chairs. Lovely comfortable bed . Left my coat in the lounge and it was safely put away until I remembered. Good breakfast. Great location.

Carly and Andy were extremely helpfull. But there was a guy who needs to use deodorant. Body odor at the reception is not acceptable.

Hotel has seen better days, old original part looks lovely, but the Newest part of building (bedrooms furthest away from Road) a bit dated and in need of renovation. Old furniture which was chipped and dated, old carpets. However our bed was comfortable and hotel was fine for one night stay. Good value for money.

Place stinks of swaety BO in lots of areas including the bar/restaurant. Stood waiting at the bar to order food for a good 10 mins before going out to a takeaway. As i was leaving reception guy offered to serve me but swerved it at that point. I'm guessing its in a spiral of no customers because of poor service/no staff. No staff/poor service as there are not many customers. Rooms are fine and it was cheap but wouldn't stay again

The Edgbaston Village tram station was super close by, which was handy for getting in and out of the city. The hotel felt safe, quiet, and clean. The staff were warm and friendly. My bed was very comfy, water in the shower was hot (not great pressure though). I had a lovely view out of my large window, and was fortunate to have three sunny days.

Public areas clean and well presented. Room was spotless but a little tired. Odly we had a table lamp with a round pin plug but no round pin socket. A couple of bulbs were out. Heating too hot so left a window ajar. However would happily stay again.

The bathroom had hair and fluff on the floor on entry. The room was super hot and the windows could not be opened so it was a restless sleep. The shower had less than average flow. The bar do not allow drinks to be charged to the room. So you need to carry a card. Overall at best an ok experience but not good value.

Very nice spotless room but very cold due to motion activated heating system that did not work properly, ended up having a fan heater. All staff very helpful and polite.

Heating broken and room freezing..... 2 rooms booked and heating was out across the entire hotel. All guests were unhappy (and cold)

Such a lovely hotel, staff were so helpful and pleasant, very comfortable nights sleep, room kept warm in spite of freezing temperatures outside, everything spotless.

I found the room was clean tidy and adequate at the price point unfortunately there was a problem with the heating and it was an extremely cold night. I was provided with a small electric heater but it wasn’t the best night for me. Also probably my own fault but I didn’t realise until my booking confirmation that there was a separate charge (£15) for parking.
