Everything was great, except the communication with the customer. I arrived in Tokyo early at 7 a.m. However, during that day, there was a power outage and the hotel was locked and completely closed until 11 a.m. I was not able to keep my large luggage and hand-carry by the receptionist since the hotel was closed when I arrived, without any notification through email or phone. I ended up needing to carry around my luggage around the Ginza area while waiting for the hotel to open. There should be better communication with the guest, or at least have the hotel door open, so at least customers that arrive early can keep their luggage with the hotel while waiting for their 3 p.m. check-in time.
