My husband and I had never stayed here before but it was in the right location for our overnight visit to the city. After booking, I called the hotel with some questions and the person i spoke with, Tina, could not have been nicer. She took the time to answer all my questions. Also, I requested a high floor and she said she'd do her best, and she did. We had a great room on the top floor and enjoyed sitting by the window at night and watching all the city lights. Additionally, from the moment we got there, the service was top notch. Josh and Juliette at the front desk were so helpful. They went of their way to make us feel welcome. We enjoyed chatting with them about our favorite city restaurants. We were celebrating our birthdays and when we got to our room, there was a birthday card and gift. How thoughtful. As for the room, the suite was spacious, clean and bright and had everything you need for a short stay. The rooms were comfortable too. The next day, we had more great service from Juliette. She went out of her way to help us once again. We can't say enough good things about the service we received from the friendly staff. We only chose the AKA due to it's proximity to Rittenhouse Square and the fact that our favorite Philly hotel had gotten so expensive, but we had such a lovely experience, we are are already planning our return trip. Thank you AKA for a wonderful weekend!

It’s always an excellent experience

We stayed here over the July 4th weekend. It's located in a great area. You are in a great part of the city that is walkable and situatied close to aLOT of great eateries. The Room was nice and large, the bed was comfortable, bathroom was nice and large. The kitchen was the perfect size if you wanted to cook. the living room is a good size. The furniture in the living room needs to be refreshed as the fabrics needed to be cleaned. The couches were not comfortable, it was almost like sitting on a hard wooden bench with a very thin cushion. Although the furniture wasn't the greatest, don't let this stop you from staying at this Hotel. The other feature out weigh the small downsides.

There was cockroach in the room

Amazing location! Great staff, clean room. The hotel bar went out of their way to accommodate us at closing time. We had a blast and look forward to returning.

We stayed for 3 nights and were soooo happy with our room :) 2 bed/2 bath right on Rittenhouse Square. The staff was wonderful!

Positive: -Staff was super friendly and helpful. A+ for all of them. -Location was fantastic. -Rooms were very clean. Negative: -A lot of rooms don't have blackout blinds so they're bright. They offered to move us without us asking so that goes on the positive list. They moved us to a room they said was an upgrade but we lost our huge kitchen, seating and big counter space. Felt very much like a downgrade but it was still worth it for the blinds, so we didn't complain. -our bathroom toilet was broken. Maintenance supposedly fixed it but it wasn't. It needed the internal flapper replaced. My husband had to fix it after every time we flushed. For three days.... -Bathrooms TINY. I mean seriously small. Also, no surface room to set things down. -Bathroom sinks too small so they splash water all over, flooding the miniscule shelf they have. We would not stay there again but if clean rooms and great staff is all you need to be happy this hotel will fulfill your requirements.

Felt homey

Front desk staff were very friendly and courteous, but the hotel itself is definitely not 4 star. The kitchenette floor was sticky, the TV remote felt grimy, only one body towel in the bathroom, etc. The finer details are what separates the best hotels from the average. Not much attention is paid to details here. Plus I object to the policy of openly welcoming the general public to use the bathrooms. That said, I slept comfortably.

My stay at AKA Rittenhouse was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warmth, professionalism, and true hospitality. Wister, the front desk representative, went above and beyond to ensure every detail of my stay was seamless. Their attentiveness, kindness, and efficiency made me feel genuinely valued as a guest. Equally impressive was the support and insight provided by the hotel’s budget analyst. Tony, whose behind-the-scenes excellence clearly contributes to the smooth and elevated experience AKA Rittenhouse is known for. He provided great recommendations and made this experience a blast. To mention, Juliet was adorable. The attention to both personal service and operational excellence reflects a team that truly cares about the guest experience. This was more than just a stay—it was a memorable experience rooted in hospitality at its finest. Five stars, well deserved. If I could give 10 stars, I would.

Good location. Old building. Unimpressive lobby, reasonable, and helpful staff.

I will be coming back to this hotel again. Location is perfect. Everything is within walking distance. Bars and Lounges are amazing.

Locked out of front door, no one at desk, both nights, just before midnight and just after. Had to convince aka bar employees to let me in
