Wonderful house

Great experience. Good value too. Furniture may be a little bit too focused on form over function, but very befitting this historic site.

Self check in. Great area of city. Room was okay. Cool old house. Reasonably safe for a city. Rooms were simple. No wows for sure. Found.pillows to be flat. Had my own which helped. Would stay here again as pretty good value.

The property is beautiful and historic. However, the parking situation is a challenge. There are 8 spots, but larger cars/SUVs really limit the access. We had to park on the street overnight and were very concerned about our car. The room was warm at night, and an oscillating fan was of little help. There is AC in the building, but it was set at 70 and due to the age of the property and the air distribution system, it did not seem effective. There is no cable TV and so we were limited in what was on TV....no live sports, for example, during football season. When I stayed here in the past, there was an owner who was so nice and helpful. She cooked a wonderful breakfast every morning, and she was so welcoming. Now, there is no breakfast, and no one around. It was fine, but it has lost that personal touch. Overall, it was fair, but we won't likely stay again because of the parking and lack of service.

We loved our stay here! There’s so much cool history to learn about the house while you’re there and it’s such a beautiful place! The staff was amazingly friendly as well.

Fantastic facilities, great rooms, beautiful common areas, convenient parking and location. We felt at home in this authentic house.

Comfortable bed and very clean.

The room was tiny. No lamps or plug ins next to bed. There were 2 fans in the room because the room was so hot. The AC was on the floor and didn’t ever seem to come on. Lots of scuffs on the wall like it needed to be painted. I would not stay here again.

Old mansion located close to the five points area of Birmingham. Great room and house. Parking in back is tight if you have a big car or a truck

We stayed in suite 8 on the 3rd floor. The house itself is very charming, but the stay was far from comfortable. The beds were hard, and the pillows super thin. The door to the room had a window above it leading to the hallway which lets light in all night. There is also a window from the bathroom into the room itself, giving you no privacy if you are traveling with others. A little before 1 AM the fire alarm went off, waking us all up. Everyone in the house was on the front lawn clueless to what was going on until someone messed with it and told us it was because someone was smoking in their room. Everyone went back upstairs and then about 15 minutes later it was going off again. One of the worst nights of sleep of my life.

Love history? This is the place for you! We thoroughly enjoyed staying at the Hassinger Daniels Guest house. It was fun reading about its rich history and the accommodations were lovely. Don’t miss out on this gem.

Very nice Victorian mansion. Comfortable room. A little surprised that there was no breakfast.

We were in Birmingham for our daughters surger at Children's and needed something near the hospital. It was perfect. We ended up needing an extra night and the host was very kind in accommodating us. We could literally walk through an adjoining parking lot and have our choice of foods. If you're looking for luxury, this isn't it, but if youre looking for something quiet, clean, comfortable and convenient this is definitely where you should go. We're already planning a return visit.
