Delious buffet breakfast. Property is tired and has slipped from previous years. Resort bedrooms require upgrades and needs attention to detail. Check room 234....bathroom grouting, bathroom mirror has white paint spattered around the edges ,TV is in a poor position and plastic glasses for a "4" star resort!!!! Bedroom bedcover and pillowcases not pressed. The dining room table cloth and napkins are not pressed....why is that as it looks terrible.

Overall it was a good spot. Staff working in the dining room/restaurant and kitchen were fantastic, food was excellent. Live entertainment great. The bed was very comfortable which is a huge plus for me. Unfortunately the pool was empty and closed during our stay, and it appeared that it had not been operational for quite some time. The grounds also are in need of maintenance, they are not as they appear in promotional photos.

Pool was closed. No mini fridge in room. Stairs to get into the building, to get to our room, to get to the restaurant. Not the easiest for seniors. Breakfast was buffet style with good choices. The place has been beautiful in its time but draperies in the grand lounge/sunroom have linings that are falling apart. Very comfortable king size bed. Very good and friendly staff.

Elegant, grand, hotel from days gone by. Gardens are beautiful, view is amazing, food is excellent. Breakfast comes with the room excellent as well.

Comfortable room. Great entertainment. Breakfast was included and was top notch.

We stayed in the 2 bedroom 2 bathroom cabin and it was great. Spacious and clean. The complimentary breakfast was good too.

We were very unhappy to be unable to sleep because of the singer who was so loud that it seemed as if he was right outside our door. The water controls for the shower were not reliable and if a neighboring room flushed the toilet or used the sink our shower turned scalding. Very difficult to maintain a safe temperature.

Property needs a lot of work

Excellent hotel. Staff were friendly and helpful. Restaurant was nice, food was good and not overpriced. Room was very nice. Outer buildings need some work but all in all good value for your money. An iconic hotel. Highly recommend.

This place was great . Few minutes out of Digby , beautiful outdoor surroundings . Room was great , very comfortable bed and pillows . We had a view of the ocean with two nice chairs to enjoy it at the window . Great bath room amenities. We also had breakfast there , lots of choices and great service . Would definitely recommend.

Very nice and comfortable

It was a beautiful location. The hotel is pretty old but very classy. The rooms are a bit small because of the age of the hotel. The breakfast was very good. It looks like a great location for a wedding reception. The hotel needs a bit of maintenance work due to its age. It was built in the 1930s I believe. Overall the location and grounds make up for any issues. The bed was comfortable and the furniture classy but a little cramped. I would stay there again.

Breakfast was amazing I will miss my eggs benny!

We had such a great time here. A very historic place almost frozen in time. So much of the original is still apart of this beautiful place. The breakfast is out of this world. The beds super comfy. The resort has modern amenities and comforts but the original furnishings decor and setting of how and what it was originally intended for is fabulous. We cant wait to go back. The staff is top notch the value is worth every penny and the location and convenience to digby is minutes.

The room had an old musty smell. Front Desk helpful to set up the air cleaning function on the new wall mounted climate control system. The comforter was so lumpy I asked it be changed. This was done promptly. The door to the room was extremely sticky when entering or leaving the room. No gym available. Breakfast was good. Furnishings dated and all glass needs cleaning, but the building has lots of beautiful history and the grounds are gorgeous. All the staff were very nice and the setting and view is beautiful. I would stay again.

Ein in die Jahre gekommenes Haus. Von aussen hübsch anzusehen. Zimmer sehr klein. Fenster kann man nicht öffnen. Bad hat kein Fenster und auch keinen Abzug. Dadurch keine frische Luft im Zimmer und immer etwas feucht. Reinigung beschränkte sich auf Bett aufschlagen. Papierkörbe wurden nicht geleert und kein Kaffee bzw. Tee aufgefüllt. Gesaugt wurde auch nicht. Der angebotene beheizte Pool war eine Ruine und das Spa war nicht vorhanden. Ein Golfplatz war auch nicht vorhanden. Insgesamt viel zu teuer da kein Pool und Spa. Da kann man in der Gegend deutlich bessere Unterkünfte finden. Vom Preis-Leistungsverhältnis völlig überbewertet.

Pool closed, i didn't know when booking. No fridge in room. Happy hour ended at 4, which was when checkin could start! Breakfast was great, included in price, but gratuity to servers (of coffee only, it was a lovely self-serve buffet) was expected. Musty smell in rooms in basement which was where we were put. Price was good but lots of other accommodation in area for similar.

This hotel is in need of upgrading and could be cleaner. The hotel must have been a lovely place back in the day but has been left to deteriorate both inside and out. The staff do the best they can, however the owner should seriously consider putting some money into fixing, cleaning, and upgrading this hotel and property. All of that being said, the bed was very comfortable, the bed linen lovely and a full breakfast being included was a nice touch.
