Very good

Was informed on check-in that food in the restaurant was being served until 21.30, came down at 20.30 to be informed that the kitchen was closed and but luckily there was a 24hr menu available, so ordered off that, starter I found to be very poor as it was pate which was probably the smallest piece of pate i have ever seen and would only just cover the toast provided, the rest of the plate was just filled with lettuce to make it look a lot. The lady who eventually served was helpful in find the night time menu and took my order and opened up a tab on my room, but when I went up to the bar again to order another drink was then informed that I should have pre-authorised a credit card to be able to order food on the room, again was not informed this upon check in or when ordered the food initially. Whilst eating my food also the staff was moving furniture around and setting up the hoover for cleaning which was very off putting tbh. I also found the bed to be to soft and did not sleep very well. The Hot water pressure was also very low and therefore the shower was more of a trickle than a shower.

Nice breakfast options, friendly staff. However, check in process wasn’t very smooth as they did not know whether we paid beforehand and questioned it even after showing her the receipt. The bed was quite small - small double - there was also dead bugs on the wall which made the room a little uncomfortable.

Outstanding responsiveness and customer service by duty manager Damian and his team. We'd booked the wrong date for a training course, and the HI team sorted and set up a room in extra quick time to exactly our requirements. Brilliant work, and massive thanks.

We requested a room with few steps due to my husband's mobility challenges and were given a good sized accessible room near to reception which was very clean and comfortable. My husband especially appreciated having an armchair in there to rest in and not just a bed to sit on. Staff were very helpful and it was lovely to see them enjoying rewarding the visiting children doing the Easter egg hunt with their prizes, which I'm sure was a highlight of their stay! Breakfast had a large selection of choices and all was fresh and well stocked. Having the pool and sauna was a real bonus for our short break and we both had a very relaxing time. There was free parking near the accessible entrance enabling quick and smooth entry to the building. Thank you to all the team, we will be back!

The bathroom's moldy, the phone's out, and the dim lights in the room are depressing.

Hotel clean and tidy, as was the room but abit tired in certain areas, ie tape on carpets, paintwork etc, bar area and restaurant lovely, very good breakfast with lots on offer, however the evening meal was disappointing, had to wait an eternity and when it did come wasnt good, staff very friendly though throughout

I have to give one star, which I guess the staff deserve, they probably deserve more. However, the hotel itself is atrocious, I wouldn’t put cattle on here. The room I was given had holes in the carpet, god knows what up the walls, window that didn’t seal and to top it all, when I checked in they forgot to mention the heating was broken. Given the outside temp was 3 degrees the inside wasn’t a lot warmer. I raised the issues of noise from the window as on main road and was offered ear plugs and a beer. When I mentioned the heating I was offered an electric fan. I checked out and went to Premier Inn at Chatham. I’m still waiting for a refund.

The sofa bed for our child was very uncomfortable. The mattress was thin and had a protector on it which was very plasticky. Other than that the room was clean. From about 5am there was lots of noise from the floor above. It sounded like elephants running around. Breakfast was very good and staff pleasant. Good parking too.
