I arrived at this hotel at around 10:30PM on August 18 to check in to my reservation for my one night stay with my husband. The receptionist told me that there were no available rooms. She said the reservation I booked on Expedia should not have gone through. She also said that they were only allowing 3 night stays because they were busy for college move-in day. So I asked if they were still going to charge us and she replied no. We didn’t want to inconvenience her so we decided to stay at a different hotel. We left at around 11:15PM. Then at 12:42AM I received a call from this hotel by a male employee saying that I did not need to come to their hotel anymore. I answered that I was there at 10:30PM and they didn’t have a room for me. However the hotel charged me $266.76 for the room we did not stay in. I messaged Expedia explaining the situation. Expedia talked to the hotel, to which the hotel said that we canceled our reservation and they couldn’t refund the money The Expedia team also were not reading our messages thoroughly and kept saying the same thing I assume because they were written in Chinese I believe that this misunderstanding was not our fault and Expedia and the hotel should have done a better job at communicating

The location of the hotel is very good, which is on the opposite side of the University of Rochester. It's convenient for those who want to go there. The environment is cozy. The staffs are nice. Will live there again next time.

去罗彻斯特大学很方便，适合到学校看望孩子的家长短期住，可以自己做饭。

总体感觉酒店到处都比较脏，前台傲慢，服务不好，房间空调噪音很大。酒店的位置挺好，在河边。

酒店坐落在Genesee River西岸，就在University of Rochester对岸，步行3分钟（过一座行人过河的小桥）就进入了大学校园。酒店员工很热情，主动和客人打招呼，特别有礼貌。房间宽敞、明亮，室内内整洁、无异味，也有wifi（需要前台提供登录名和密码，wifi速度快、很稳定），还可以在屋内的mini kitchen使用coffee maker、微波炉、电磁炉、冰箱等等，还备有餐具。酒店早餐很丰富，有蔬菜、水果、培根、鸡蛋、牛奶、咖啡等等，力荐早餐的假牛肉饼的汉堡包，非常可口！特别喜欢酒店的business center，布置得像一个书房，环境舒适并且安静，还可以免费使用打印机、电脑等办公用品。酒店客人可享受免费停车，停车场就在酒店大门外，很方便。整体评价“非常好”，有一种在家的感觉^-^会推荐此酒店给亲朋好友。自己再来Rochester还订这家酒店。

We always like Staybridge. Its like a home away from home. In Rochester, its close to all.

he room we stayed in (413) was very clean. I always do a wipe-down when I arrive, and I was impressed that there was no dust or dirt so this was a big plus for me. The view from the room wasn’t great, as it overlooked the parking lot and neighborhood homes, but that wasn’t a deal breaker. Bed was clean and comfortable. The complimentary breakfast was a nice perk, though I didn’t enjoy it as much as I have at other places, my husband, however, had no complaints. The food area felt a bit cramped, but there were plenty of nice seating options available. The immediate area near the water is pleasant, but I wouldn’t recommend walking too far in other directions at night. There’s a convenience store right across the street that’s well-stocked and appears to be open 24 hours. Every staff member I interacted with was friendly and helpful. Overall, I would stay here again.

Good breakfast, nice rooms. One receptionist needs training. At check-in, she even yelled when she did not understand my question!

This hotel is unsafe and next to ghetto!!

My kids said the breakfast wasn't very good. The cook was openly grumpy. Bad day I guess.
