My second stay at this property. Rooms are spacious (both the standard and superior rooms, as we got an upgrade last time) and immaculately clean. Smooth check-in and check-out process. Location is super close to the center, Peterborough rail station is 5 minute walk.

Clean room, friendly helpful staff, free parking, 3pm check in and 12pm check out - what's not to like!

Hotel, in general, and room were clean and tidy. Even though close to the rail station and a company party on one of the nights we stayed, the party and rail noises did not penetrate the quiet of the hotel room. Close to the Xmas market and shopping. In general, a very pleasant stay.

We booked a superior room but on arrival I was told it had been given to someone else. The reception staff said they would put things like dressing gown and slippers into a standard room to make it the equivalent of a superior room. Because off a long journey to the hotel I could not be bothered to argue but the room given to us was small and lacked any comfort & there was no dressing gowns or slippers.

Comfy and clean rooms as usual, friendly reception and great break fast, I can't ask for more, defo coming again!

Start with arriving, the parking was fine but small so if you arrive late in the day you may not get a space. The lady at the check-in when we checked in at 1500 on the 06th was very welcoming, got us checked in and on our way with a smile. The chap who was also checking guests in seemed like he didn't want to be there, no smile, not welcoming at all with the guests from what we could see. Room was nice. Breakfast the next day on the 7th, the lady on breakfast duty was lovely and looked after us and our 1 year old exceptionally well. In the afternoon, around 1330 on the 7th we went down to the bar for some drinks, a lovely lady served us the first time around and she was excellent with her service and looked after us like it was no trouble. When going to get another round of drinks I was served by the chap who was checking in on the day we arrived, again seemed like he didn't want to be there, no smile and almost the opposite of the lady who served us first. Also, on the 7th our room was not cleaned even though the cleaning staff were cleaning the rooms right next to ours when we left ours. The final day, on the 8th, at breakfast, the lady on breakfast duty was the complete opposite of the lady we had on the day before, every request seemed like a hassle. Overall a mixed bag and the service you get depends who is on duty in the various location of the hotel.

Didn’t have breakfast, was disappointed that we only had time to sleep as arrived late and had an early start. The room was faultless though, beds so comfortable.

The restaurant was a total disaster. I waited an hour for dried out meal that had obviously been sunbathing under a heat lamp for a while. I had to go to the bar after waiting 30 minutes for a drink that they forgot to pour. I witnessed this happen on at least 2 other occasions. Such a shame because they have everything else in order.. I wish these managers would realise that the customer facing element should be the last thing you cut back on… The staff were struggling with the pace! They needed at least 2 more people. Very clean and tidy hotel.

Evening meal and 2 breakfasts Good food. Staff lovely. Room cosy and warm. Hotel was warm throughout Been here last year for reunion. ideal for trip to London by train for the day
