Pls beware of check in time. It’s only till 10:30pm. I arrived just a few minutes after 10:30pm as there was heavy rain in pitch dark roads and I couldn’t drive fast enough, the reception was closed and all lights turned off in the common area. Luckily, they put the emergency number there, I called and they sent someone to give us the room keys in a few minutes. Other than that, the services of the staff are friendly and I enjoyed my stay there. Parking right at the hotel front is also convenient.

The transport is not very convenient but the classical style hotel room was impressive. Free parking was offered. The breakfast (not only in England style but also American) served in grand environment was particularly unforgettable. Nice place for visit in Windermere

Staff went above and beyond to accommodate our requirements. Parking is a little tight, but very do able. Breakfast was outstanding. Beautiful smoked salmon and scrambled eggs. Plenty of cereals. Fruits. Nuts yogurt etc. The room was beautifully clean and well kept. All staff are so friendly and accommodating, so they all deserve a special mention. We definitely recommend this hotel

Great stay, excellent breakfast, rooms very clean

The first thing you will notice is it looks a bit dated when you walk in, but don't let that put you off because the 2nd thing you will notice is how lovely and warm the place is, kudos to the owners as we know how much the heating costs nowadays. My room was lovely, cannot complain, probably could of done with a bit of decorating but still it was nice, sleep wise it was ok, the mattress sunk a bit in the middle but not enough to stop me sleeping well. Breakfast was lovely, I had a cooled breakfast on my first morning and just cereal on my second as I was climbing helvellyn. Would I stay here again? 100% yes!!

Clean room. Lovely breakfast! Nice and accommodating staff. Good location. A cozy place to stay with some books to read or board games/cards to play if you prefer to stay in. Would recommend!

Clean room, friendly staff, excellent breakfast

On the plus side it was clean and the cooked breakfast was good . On the negative side, not much choice for fruits yoghurts cereals and pastries for breakfast, whole place was a bit out dated, our bedroom had wallpaper peeling off, a posted bed which obscured the tv and our toilet didnt flush but there was no staff available in the evening or morning to let them know!

Great location, good breakfast, comfortable room, my only complaint is I couldn’t get a good signal for their WiFi didn’t work, and I was there for work, but overall a great stay. Walking distance to many things and amenities

Our room was amazing....the breakfast was awesome...and the staff went above and beyond to make our stay perfect Would stay here again in a heart beat.💜💜

Breakfast felt rushed, I would have liked more time after my cereal before the cooked breakfast arrived, even when I asked the waitress was back after a few minutes asking if I was ready to order. This was midweek and there wasn't many guests. When more did arrive for the weekend, it was all a bit too frantic and didn't leave a relaxing breakfast experience. The room was small but clean and the bed very comfy and we were supplied with a bottle of water as well as the usual hot drink facilities.

Room was very clean and comfortable, you can hear pretty much every noise the other rooms make but the quiet hours help. the wifi doesn’t work and the signal is touchy. Food is lovely and quick. staff are all very kind and accommodating

The only issue was the parking. Very tight parking.
