The Garrison Hotel. HillsBorough Barracks Sheffield. In the UK. The Restaurant and Bar does not serve Food or Drinks on certain days of the Week. So Hotel Guests have to purchase Food and Drinks elsewhere. The Bedroom/Bathroom urgently requires the following: A new Shower Screen. A new quality Bath Panel. New Floor Tiles or Waterproof cushion floor. A new better quality Toilet Seat. Television Stand needs replacing. A portable Fridge/Cooler. Reception Staff/Admin. Should answer the phone and respond to Guest Queries.

The Bathroom Floor needs new Tiles. The Bath needs a new Shower Screen. The Bath needs a quality Bath Panal. The Toilet needs a better quality toilet Seat. The Bedrooms need a portable Fridge Cooler. Restaurant evening Meals are not available certain days. Reception Staff rarely answer the telephone.

I initially booked another hotel, but then cancelled when they emailed me to tell me their restaurant was closed. I arrived at the Garrison which I have stayed at several times before only to find out that the bar and restaurant are closed Monday to Thursday! They still served breakfast !

Good value accommodation in the Hillsborough area. The Restaurant and pub were not open on the Thursday I stayed and I did have difficulty finding somewhere nearby to eat as I am a vegetarian.

Do not waste your money staying here! I paid for a room later in the day after a long day and 3 hours from home, 1 hour after paying for the room I arrived to be told that there was a function on in the restaurant the hotel own's above me and that the only room left was this room below the function. I had no other choice really at this point to except the room and was told the noise would be minor. The noise was not minor I could hear high heels banging of the floor dancing, I could hear ever song clearly playing through my room and the singing of people up until 1am!! It was like I was in the event unable to sleep. Once the party was over there was more disturbance outside. The noise was not minor and I belive based on other comments this isnt a one off. The bathroom was disgusting and the floor and toilet has not been cleaned properly. Along with fluid stains up the wall. I would advise anyone to not waste their money on this hotel there are much nicer quieter alternatives. The hotel have point blank refused a refund, they clearly knew the extent the noise would be and are very clearly trying to get as much money in at the cost of ruining someone's night. Sheer greed. I am not one to moan and would except most things and a level of noise within a hotel but this was on another level. I could clearly hear the lyrics of each song being played and the DJ shouting. Just a warning if were thinking about booking here.

Excellent short stay at this excellent little hotel. Very friendly staff and an excellent cooked breakfast.

Lovely staff, nice clean surroundings. Room was spacious and big bathroom with the bonus of a bath. Only downside was only 1set of towels supplied. Only stayed 1 night so didn’t go ask for more, just managed. Would I stay again? Yes definitely

The room was clean, the staff were always very friendly and helpful.

Third year of staying at the Garrison for the snooker - the fact we keep coming back says something! Easy to get into town on the tram, free parking, spacious rooms with comfy beds you can actually get to sleep in, A BATH (great for all the walking we do when we're here), close to amenities so you can grab food easily. Friendly folk. The only one downside is that the the wifi continues not to work with our laptop - for some reason it registers as dangerous so won't connect. But in some ways thats good, as no sneaky working when we're supposed to be on holiday. Worth considering if working is an essential part of the stay tho. Thank you - no doubt we'll be back next year!

Very clean, helpful staff, comfy bed, everything I needed

Friendly staff, room ok but needs a refurb. Restaurant and bar not open on Mondays and Tuesdays so unable to use. Yorkshire breakfast awful, burnt sausage, mashed up tomato and bacon you could snap in half! Day 2 breakfast even burnt sausages unavailable, I had cornflakes. Good parking and short walk to tram direct into city.

Lovely quirky hotel. Free parking and in easy reach of public transport with only a short tram journey to the centre of Sheffield. Rooms clean and welcoming. Beds comfy and a modern clean and large on suite. Breakfast was perfect with help yourself cereal toast and a full menu of various cooked options to choose from cooked fresh with table service. Only downside breakfast room was far too hot. Would definitely return.

A very helpful young woman was happy to spend time finding us a pub to watch the football

The room was a bit dated but very clean. Bed very comfortable! The only thing that let it down for us was that the bar was closed (closed Mon-Thurs) which would have been nice to know at the point of booking.
