A chic update to a historic property, in a quite walkable area. Our room was small but well decorated and very nice for the price. AC was effective The large window was closable with a remote, though it didn't stay very dark come the morning. You will hear and feel the GO train every few minutes, but we didn't find it difficult to sleep through. You may find it awkward to eat if you bring food back to the room, as there's no eating area. Hallway noise was quite noticeable. We did encounter a house centipede but that's par for the course in a building this old.
Outside the room, the staff were very friendly! The vintage elevator is manually controlled and doesn't always have an attendant ready, so you may need to ask to use it.
