The staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming throughout my stay. The breakfast was a highlight✨absolutely delicious, with the chef perfecting omelettes every morning. It truly felt like such a treat to start the day with a meal that good. I needed some clothing pressed for an event, and the front desk recommended a place nearby that had everything done within three hours. The recommendation was spot on, and it worked out perfectly. The front desk service overall was fantastic, and I can’t say enough about how helpful they were. The hotel itself is beautiful and charming, with lots of space and character. The only drawback was the small elevator, but the stairs made it easy to get around, so it wasn’t much of an issue. Overall, a wonderful stay with excellent service highly recommend.

We stayed at Hotel Gounod for one night in September! It was so pleasant. From the easy check in, clean room, great breakfast in the AM, and its location … we loved it! They even held our bags for us after check out until we were ready to leave Nice. I would definitely recommend!

Stay was very nice - beautiful, charming hotel and room but I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because there was no shower in the bathroom, just a soaking tub with a wand for washing (no partition or curtain to keep the water in the tub if you tried to awkwardly stand in the tub to make it into a shower).

Wie immer war der Aufenthalt hervorragend. Die Einrichtung der Zimmer ist wunderschön und der Service toll. Schöner Pool des Nachbarhotels, welcher mit genutzt werden kann.Werden im nächsten Jahr wieder hier übernachten.

We had an amazing stay. The staff as soon as we arrived were amazing. This was the first 3 days of our honeymoon and couldn’t have started any better.

Locations was good. The hotel is very dark and so was the room which is ok however they didn’t compensate with additional lighting which means seeing anything was very difficult. The service was terrible they do not help with luggage and they have steps leading into the hotel.

Fantastic, clean and friendly service. Really nicely renovated, all new and looking well. Very comfy beds and good air conditioning. Central but quiet location. Great breakfast. Would stay again!

Great 3night stay however I do not consider this a hotel, it is a B&B. Very limited communal spaces, no bar, no outside space so had to use sister hotel. Breakfast room very small and did not reflect the atmosphere of the rest of the hotel. All the components of breakfast there but not a real French breakfast!!

I really enjoyed my stay at Gounod Hotel in Nice. The location was perfect — it’s right between the train station and the beach, so it was very convenient for getting around the city. The hotel has recently been renovated, so everything felt clean and fresh. Before my trip, I emailed the hotel with some questions, and their responses were very clear and professional, which gave me a good impression even before arriving. The room itself was very comfortable. I especially liked the large bathtub and the fact that the shower was separate, which made it more convenient. There was also a fridge in the room, which was very useful during my stay. Overall, it was a pleasant experience, and I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Nice.

Överlag en bra vistelse, lite problem med AC som inte funkade ordentligt vilket gjorde det väldigt varmt. De försökte starta om AC men utan framgång. Vidare var det lite oklar kommunikation kring ”spat” på hotell splendid, när vi väl skulle nyttja det för att byta om innan hemresa så behövde det tydligen bokas? Istället fick vi nyttja en något oklart placerad dusch och bastu i gymmet.

Excellent hotel in Nice, room was great with excellent bathroom with a tub, not cheap !

The place has a lot of potential, it’s okay at max. Beautiful on the surface but many little issues that made the experience less than desirable. We were missing bathe towels for two days in a row, one of those days when requested for them they had none but robes or face towels. Shower door had many issues, the fridge smelled very strong of a truffle odour that made the water taste off. The closet was so dark I had to use my phone flash light. We also had no help with bags upon arrival especially considering the large amount of stairs at the entrance. The bed was also uncomfortable very hard and the pillows flat as a board which made my back hurt. At the end of the day it’s near A train station which is very helpful and it’s aesthetically appealing. But the little details were missed

So lovely, so central and so different. A real experience an opulent one, sliding back to the 1920's it had a great feel. The rooftop pool and bar next door was also such a treat expecialllt at sunset. An amazing place in Nice,

Stylish Art Deco interiors, very close to the beach. This hotel does not have a pool or a bar, but guests may use the rooftop pool and bar of the Hotel Splendid next door, which has wonderful panoramic views of the city and the hills behind it.
