host Matthew was great!. I should have looked for a three star hotel that might have had an elevator. Room was quite small. Breakfast was OK no hot food.

Very nice basic room for the night, great hospitality

Staff was so rude in the check in. There is no lift and no warning beforehand. There is no parking available to carry suitcases easily. If you can find space there is one 5 mins walk distance and very expensive (€22 per day). Staff will say there is free parking after 7pm but you need to be very lucky to be able to find spaces. Sofa bed was horrible bed ever. It’s squeaky and I inclined down significantly. And pillows were like an inflated balloon, quite uncomfortable to sleep. There also is no control of heating. It’s cold at night and they didn’t turn on fully. Especially if you have a baby, think twice.

Mathieu and family made us feel very welcome in this lovely little hotel. The rooms are small and simple, but tastefully designed and very comfortable. It's a small hotel, so don't expect a huge buffet breakfast - just good bread, cheese, homemade yogurt and the local speciality teurgoule. The location is perfect, within walking distance of the castle and abbeys, and there are lots of buses and trams (get the Twisto app}.

Hôtel situé en plein centre ville. Un gros doute en voyant la porte et qui fut vite oublié. Chambre parfaite, p'tit dej parfait, accueil parfait. Vraiment rien à redire Ah si, je n'ai pas pu saluer la personne en partant car elle était occupée. Donc, merci beaucoup pour votre accueil et la bonne tenue de votre établissement. ;-)

A really super hotel for a stay in central Caen. Clean and comfortable with very friendly staff. Everything is in easy reach and a wealth of places to eat and drink are very close by.

The Hôtel La Fontaine is highly recommended. It is so tastefully decorated and very clean and quite. The customer service provided is above and beyond what we have typically experienced….perfect!

Very central location. They have 3 floors but no elevator, so that’s something to keep in mind. The stay was comfortable for a short two days. No complains.

Room was nicely decorated and very clean. But it was very small. Also no lift a four storey building so if you on top floor like us a lot of stairs to climb. Breakfast was very poor and could be improved. No eggs or yoghurt. No fresh milk only long life milk. Car parking at €22 per day is a bit stiff. Admittedly hotel doesn't own car park. But i think hotel should try and make alternative arrangements for clients. The two brothers who run it are very nice and helpful.

Nice little hotel in the walking district. Difficult to regulate temperature overnight with heavy drapery and no top sheets…comforter only.

Le personnel de l hotel sont tres sympathique. L hôtel est tres bien située pour tout nos besoins. Je recommande cet emplacement. Avoir a retourner a Caen, je choisirais cet endroit.
