Surprisingly no fringe in my room

I saw the pictures of superior twin room on the hotel.com website with a balcony containing clear glass-made wall, so you could see the university on the mountains clearly. That's why I was willing to pay that much money to book the superior twin room and paid the extra fee for third people. But when I checked in, I saw a bacony containing brick-made wall and metal mesh which would definitely cover the view. The hotel personnel said it was also superior twin room, but neither the hotel official website or hotel.com website showed that kind of balcony under the superior twin room category. I was never told that if I paid extra fee for third peolpe, I would be provided different room than the superior twin room shown on the website. I felt being cheated, they just gave me another choice the family room with different view compared to superior twin room on the website. If I know the situation I would face, I would never book the room, because it was too expensive, it was the most expensive room in my entire trip of Portugal and Spain, it was just disappointing and not worth it at all. I hope the hotel and hotel.com take it seriously and stop this kind of fraud.

cigarette smells in the hallways , standard room really small , cannot keep luggage open , we only stayed 2 nights which was fine with us.

The staff at Hotel Oslo goes above and beyond to make your stay enjoyable. The complimentary breakfast had a wonderful selection between sweet and savory. The dining/bar area has a beautiful view of the university as does the rooftop patio. Our room had a small balcony with a great view of the university. The room was on the small side but the view and balcony made up for that. The location is within walking distance of some fantastic restaurants and in the center of town. The lobby needs some upgrades. New furniture and area rugs. We thought we made a good choice.

Place was perfect for me as stayed there one night n was driven bf so needed parking n easy access n is very walkable. The staff was very helpful and nice.

The front desk staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Upon arrival they offered us an update to our room since we were staying for two days for $5 euro’s instead of $10. The room was spacious and beautiful. They valet parked our car because the parking spaces are small. The hotel is centrally located to a beautiful city center. I would highly recommend this hotel

I would not have stayed here if I had known what it was like. It is an old fashioned 1980s motel on a traffic island. Good views from the terrace at the top. Very small very noisy room.

Breakfast was wonderful. Front desk staff were awesome. Would definitely stay again.

Hotel Oslo is a six story relatively modern building near the train station and river. It is very well located for visiting the older lower part of Coimbra. The room we had was called a triple but was very small - it would be very crowded for three people and suitcases. Although it is on a busy street, the room was quiet after about 11 at night (assuming the window stays closed). The roof-top bar was very pleasant for an afternoon drink with a great view over the city.

We had a comfortable week at the Oslo hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful, the view really beautiful. Our stay included a nice breakfast. Good restaurants near by.

Clean, simple hotel with nice rooms, bar, and breakfast. Can't say enough about the staff. When we checked in my wife realized she left her purse with passport on the train. Panic! The staff contacted the train company to report the loss to the company along with all our information. A couple of hours later followed up by calling again. Fortunately for us, they found the purse still containing all the contents. It would be waiting for us at the ticketing booth in the Porto train station! Can't express how grateful we were for the help and concern they showed. It would have been really tough to follow-up on our own.

Oslo hotel was very good. Great location. Parking available across the street. Nice room greatbreakfast

The rooftop terrace was delightful! Breakfast was excellent, with a good choice of dishes. Their coffee was superb! The location of the hotel and its proximity to its parking structure was great. Additionally, wonderful restaurants were just a few minutes walk away!

Check in by car was flawless. Staff immediately helped me and made parking and luggage easy. Best rooftop in town.

From a cost to value perspective the Oslo offers little value ...extremely small room and simplistic, outdated building ... it had an adequate breakfast... however positively, the hotel location was close to Coimbras major sights and the front desk staff were extraordinarily cordial... The hotel is very well located. Rooms are comfortable but are missing some amenities like at least a kettle or coffee machine. Also we were there during the graduation festivities and it was a great experience but very noisy in the bedroom, not easy to get babies to fall asleep even with closed windows. The staff were ultra helpful in accomodating two cribs and some ice for some of our medicine. Great rooftop. Downside the breakfast. Not enough tables for all the clients and lacking a lot of good. Very slow service.

Great location for my short stay as I was able to walk around to the University and to many shops and restaurants and places to snack. Room was small but was comfortable and the hotel had a rooftop terrace and a bar so one can have a drink and enjoy the views. This is a convenient location to stay for travellers.
