First time visitors to Tavira. Loved the town! This property is a great base to wander the town and use for further afield day-trips. Not as busy as other towns. The breakfast buffet was wonderful.

Nice hotel in the center of Tavira. Friendly staff, very helpful.

This is a great location on the riverfront. The ferry to get to Tavira Island (beach) is literally right outside and easy walk to restaurants. Located at the quieter end of the downtown core.

We had a lovely stay at this property. Check in was seamless and staff was helpful with added information about their area.

I was initially accommodated in room 120, the bedroom was ok but the en-suite was not fit for purpose and should not be in use. The shower is so small it is dangerous

Vieil hôtel qui demande un réel rafraichissement ... Accueil mitigé PAS DE PARKING !!!! se garer à 600 m sur un parking public non surveillé ..... PDJ correct Par contre situation géographique excellente , face au fleuve , face aux départ pour les îles Bruyant le soir car les chambres surplombent plein de restos

Nice location room very clean bed very comfortable ,staff were very helpful and polite specially the lovely girl waitress the food was excellent in the restaurant at night the room a little small and dated but added to the charm breakfast was ok.

Excellent support from the Reception staff that went above and beyond by helping carry one of my heavy suitcases up the stairs - which I appreciated. - Thank You. 🙏 It is older buildings, so no elevators, with multiple landings to get to the room. The room was extremely small and the window faced the back of another building, the bathroom and shower was the smallest I have ever come across. The shower door kept coming off its roller on the track, and the water alternated from scalding hot to cold. Parking is not available on site, and one could only park 3 blocks away, which is a problem with transporting multiple heavy rollaway luggage across cobbled stone streets.

Bra hotell med centralt läge, fanns det man behövde. Frukostbuffé med ägg, äggröra bacon. Skinka ost yoghurt juice te kaffe frukt mm. Bra gratisparkering i närheten om man har hyrbil

Found this gem overlooking the river at Tavira. Friendly service from reception, great view from our basic yet well appointed room that suited the surrounding area we stayed at. Great breakfast provided........had a great stay here

Great stay. Basic accommodation at a value price. Staff very friendly and helpful and location was excellent.

A little dated, but great location, excellent value.

Wonderful B&B, clean, comfortable & very convenient! Staff very helpful, good selection for breakfast & with a new Bistro for lunch & dinner with discount for residents serving excellent food you didn’t have to go far if you were hampered by inclement weather (as l was for my few days)! Highly recommended!

The bed was clean and comfortable

Stayed here last summer in a superior room, really impressed. Had to make do with just a river view room this time which I thought would be ok. It was in need of some TLC! Nothing major but for the sake of a few hours work and a lick of paint it would have been fine. The hotel itself is lovely and you can’t fault the breakfast. Would stay again but only in one of the superior rooms

We had an amazing time at the Mares hotel. Superb location, extremely friendky and helpful staff. Wonderful breakfast. Great location. Brilliant rooftop terrace. Nothing negative to say. Will definitely stay there again.
