Loved breakfast. Room was unreal

A lovely spot overlooking the river. Our room was spacious with a gorgeous bathtub and a very comfortable bed. We walked into town and had a very good dinner at the hotel. The customer service at the front desk was excellent. We would gladly return!

Lovely place

The exceptional training of your staff made them stand out as very helpful, anticipating customer needs. I saw it demonstrated with many of the customers during just one night’s stay. The full breakfast and Leisure center facilities made this a memorable stay. We wished we had more time to enjoy your hospitality.

This was a last minute booking when travelling Ireland & what a gem we found. Beautiful setting on the river, friendly staff, great food & a wonderful room - highly recommend!

Beautiful room breakfast was a little disappointing on our second mirning ran out of fruit and soda bread.

Lovely meals and staff. The deluxe room with terrace was worth it for the view of the river and the privacy.

The lakeside rooms are stunning, very luxurious and very clean. Very short walk from the hotel. All staff were very helpful and welcoming. Breakfast was very good. You can walk to the two small towns for a coffee or food. Did see much else. Nice small marina (Killaloe) around the corner too.

We stayed at The Lakeside Hotel & Leisure Centre for one night after arriving in Ireland, and it was a perfect start to our trip. The staff were warm and welcoming, and the property itself is beautiful. It's set on lovely, quiet grounds with a fantastic view of the River Shannon from our room. The bed was very comfortable, and we appreciated the peace and quiet after a long travel day. The nearby town is charming and just a short walk away, which made for a nice evening stroll. The hotel was quite busy due to the bank holiday, but it still felt relaxed and well managed overall. Dinner was enjoyable, though our table could have been a bit tidier, with a few crumbs on top and bits underneath. That said, breakfast the next morning made up for it. The manager went out of his way to accommodate us even though we arrived late. He was a real standout — friendly, efficient, and helpful. One small note: the Guinness pouring could use a little fine tuning. Only one of the three we ordered was poured properly, but it didn’t take away from the overall experience. We would happily stay again and recommend The Lakeside Hotel to anyone looking for a scenic, restful stop in a lovely part of Ireland.
