Good

The village hotel rooms are looking very tired nowadays so I upgraded to a club room, despite saying you receive extra benefits the “sweet treat and extra toiletries” were not in the room. The food has also gone downhill in my opinion. I won’t be choosing this hotel group again.

No phone is bedrooms is problematic in an emergency, I had to be liaising with staff via an online chat that I had to scan on the TV to find which is complex if you don’t know how. It was pure that chance I found out, I had to go looking when the contact numbers went unanswered or disconnected immediately Standard rooms are nice, however the rooms are quite run down and need maintenance in the form of paint work, carpets etc The club rooms are strange, the are large but quite empty, a chair here and there to fill space but needs a designer to look at it. I expected a fridge, and upgrade amenities. Bathroom had no bath unlike the standard rooms and was very cold with no option to fix it. I would take a standard room any-day, more compact and well thought out. Walls are made of paper, pray you aren’t placed next to the local lowlife or your restful break could become a nightmare Breakfast was limited, and was not made clear you had to order certain items that weren’t on display like fried or poached eggs. They claim they have a continental breakfast but there was no yoghurts, fresh pastry selection or ham/cheeses etc. Porridge was 10/10 The breakfast area is the same area the bar is in, so early morning whilst dining you see people coming in to order a pint in order to start the day which can be a little unnerving when they are in groups and a little boisterous. My suggestion is to have the bar area separate to protect hotel guest and their families are well

Mattress was dirty, called in the morning for fresh towels was waiting for over 45mins I had to call reception again and then had to wait a further 10 minutes

Good experience

The hotel was very noisy and at 3am i was woken by a very angry man banging on a door screaming for someone to come out or he was gonna burn the car to the ground, the lady sounded very scared

Staff were friendly. Room was basic but nice and clean. The bar is well laid out. Breakfast was also very nice.

Dark room so difficult to see later in day. Staff helpful. Breakfast very poor - we paid £12.50 each, very disappointing. Won’t stay here again.

Excellent stay!

The room was clean, the staff were all friendly and the amenities tied into the hotel were good, we've stayed in better places but overall quite decent.

Fantastic staff, clean rooms & an brilliant evening event (boogie bingo) - We'll definitely be back next year!
