Friendly staff, room upgraded. Very tough steak fir dinner and apparently the hotel didn’t possess any mustard at all - must be tricky for the chefs!

Overall a really poor experience that I gave the team at the hotel a chance to respond directly but as that was pretty unsatisfactory - Iit should be shared here as potential guests should know. Good stuff: Low price, great staff. Bad stuff: Really dirty room, with someone elses dark black hairs all over the bath and bathroom and clearly had not been cleaned. Conditioner dispenser was broken and just refilled and clearly not checked. Rubbish left in the corridors and strwn around the lifts and not spotted or picked up. General poor smell around the 3rd floor. Room AC had two settings - off or COLD. No controls would work. The general upkeep of the rooms is poor, but I can live with that for a value prices hotel - but the lack of cleanliness isnt acceptible.

The hotel was what was expected for the cost, staff we dealt with were excellent, facilities basic but adequate, there is parking i wouldn't say enough for the whole hotel i basically got the last spot and arrived around 16:00. there are local car parks to the hotel so shouldn't be a problem location is great for accessing the city centre we didn't have breakfast and was very surprised that a hotel bar for residents closes at 11pm. The shower had a slight drip on it but with the door shut you couldn't hear it in the night, there was literally 10 sheets left on the toilet roll so had to use sparingly we should have mentioned it to reception but forgot when we were down there. Apart from the little niggles i would recommend it Our biggest problem wasn't a hotel fault it was a guest fault, the room next to ours 429 i think had a massive row for about an hour and half around 03:30 banging shouting, at one point something hit our wall and our bed shook, I'd be very surprised if there's no damage in there. I slept through most of it but my partner never got a wink of sleep through it even with ear plugs in she could every word said as it wasn't the hotels fault we didn't mention it at reception although that was because we had express check out and didn't have to speak to reception.

Expensive. Was expecting higher standard. Breakfast was basic.

The room smelt strange, was dated and the shower was bad. Parking was full.

Quick check in Threadbare carpet in room and beside a very noisy main road so very noisy not much sleep even with ear plugs. Bed and pillows comfy We stayed for 2 nights and key card ran out after 1st day staff never mentioned this so got up to room and couldn't get in room had to go back down to reception this could of been avoided. Room ok but no sleep due to main road noises so wouldn't stay again

The receptionists were warm & engaging. The room was spotless. Had the executive room on 7th floor & had a great nights sleep. The breakfast was amazing & great choice. Their sausages are the best!! Give Leonardo hotels 10/10

The air conditioning was not working had to move to another disabled room which was not that great

Room was great need to be able to screen share Netflix to tv. And I accidentally left a vibrator in room 717 under pillow I do apologise. You can keep it for good luck , defo needs a clean

We have stayed at this hotel several times. Nothing disappoints from the excellent service received Just wish we knew executive rooms don’t have walk-in showers. Just recovering from a second knee replacement so will have to make sure rooms have a walk in shower. Loo hopefully won’t be too low on our next visit.

First time here, and a single traveller for one night. Straight forward drive in from the north and parking at the hotel was, as mentioned in the hotel information, limited. The staff were helpful and dealt quickly with my check in and out. The room was clean, and had just what is needed. My room on the fifth floor gave a good view of the city. It’s close to the main shopping area and attractions, so a quick walk in. I would use this hotel again if visiting Derby.
