This is a very conveniently located place with extremely friendly, knowledgeable and low-key owners. There is everything you need, including a large shared fridge and a microwave in a loungeroom. The facilities and furniture are spotless and perfectly OK but not fancy latest fashion-if they were, the owners would need to charge much more than they do now. The house is on a hill very close to the ferry but before the extensive roadworks dealing with the recent cyclone damage. This means you can get quickly to the other side of the river [where all the river cruises come from], but also have easy access to places further north. If you are planning to stay for a while, it is a good idea to buy supplies from the large Woolworths supermarket in Mossman. Last but not least, there is a flock of really cute chickens, who provide eggs for the daily breakfast.
