Good location and Jeff is really helpful. Free parking nearby is so convenient too.

Very good and pleaseful hosipitality! The house manager was warm,caring and helpful. One day we needed to go for Port Arthur early in the morning so we should have missed the breakfast time, but the manager checked with us the night before what breakfast items we liked and prepared them in good order so that we could enjoy them before we left for our journey on the day! Thanks.

Jeff is very nice and helpful. We enjoyed the stay very much. Early breakfast was prepared for us even though it was earlier than the normal breakfast time. We really appreciated it. Jeff also recommended us to some good restaurants nearby and they were excellent! Thank you again and see you!

Location is good - just a few minutes from restaurants and farm markets Host is nice - very helpful and informative Room is comfortable - tastful design and very clean Overall a perfect stay!

Beautiful decorations, clean and tidy rooms. Jeff has been very helpful throughout our stay which made us feel like home. The continental breakfast was in a great variety and never bore us. We never found the buffet table empty since Jeff has been so thoughtful and would check and re-fill where necessary. The common area was so cozy and well decorated, we did actually spend some time taking pictures with the pretty Xmas tree there. And the complimentary port wine there was just awesome! There were also numerous travel guides/pamphlets you could get if you don't know where to go. We enjoyed our stay here very much and would definitely come back again!

For a two night stay it suited our purposes

Convict Cottage is superb with plenty of air space and a private terrace with direct view to the top of Mount Wellington. Quiet, no noise from the street. Good service.

The room and building are old, but still OK if you just need good rest near the North Hobart or Hobart CBD. The TV is too small and has not much entertainment value. Amenities are reasonable. The biggest selling point for choosing this hotel is getting access to free laundry machine for guests and the clothing drying line on the building balcony. Area around hotel has many reasonably good food choices and the main Catholic cathedral is within walking distance.

Clean room

Older two-level style cottage, good layout but the bathroom is in dire need of improvements and renovations. The shower head sprays water all over the place. Well-stocked kitchen. Very comfortable bed. Mostly quiet at night. It is a walkable stroll to the harbour and most public transport.

The Lodge staff are the standout feature of the place: friendly, accomodating and super helpful. We enjoyed our stay in the Cottage over a spring weekend a great deal. The room itself is a cosy self contained little unit perfect for a couple. Walking distance to great food and entertainment venues. Highly recommend

Convenient location, good parking for the area. Lots of meal options nearby. Water pressure in shower could be better, but it’s an old building so I understand.
