Cheap and cheerful, staff very nice, and the traffic very well.

When we checked in , the reception said "she did not have our booking information". The room were full of book, no room for us. Asked me to call my agent about here is no room for us. I said "I don't have agent, I used Hotels.com. I got an confirmation mail from Hotels.com. I already paid.She said"The money is not give to us, it's pay for Hotels.com , so we do not have your money." She did not want to solve the problem on that time. Just told us to go , go fine another hotel. She spoke with her manager by phone. She did not even let us speak to her manager. She checked mail again and found out she had our information from Hotels.com , but she said that is not booking confirmation. Later on she gave us 2 choice. First was 1 double bed room on 1 floor, Second was give us two 1 double bed rooms on 2 floor. We choose second one.When we just got into the room she knocked the door and said she had another family room for us . We followed her there. The family room no. 115 was awful , in order to not sleep separately . We choose the family room. The family room looks like some people was taking a turn to stay here, not for guest. Unwashed glasses in the sink. Pile of dishes on the kitchen counter. Unfinished noodles on the cooker. Unfinished shampoo and shower gel in bathroom. Lighter and cigarette's ash on the desk. Broken cupboard and cabinet. Some foods in the fridge and kitchen. Hotels.com just said they have sent my complaint to the hotel. That's it.

服务和舒适度一般，不是真正的被子而是毛毯加床单，这点我不喜欢，而且毛毯上还有几根头发。没有烧水壶，不过有微波炉。交通还算方便，距离巴塞尔的tram13路电车终点站步行三四分钟，距离st louis的公交站frontiere步行十米左右

I checked the distance between Euroairport Basel (Mulhouse) and this hotel on Google, and it was shown just a walking distance of 1.1km. However, stepping outside the airport in midnight, I cann't find any pathway to walkout. Then it costs me Euro15 to take taxi for a 20 minute drive. Though it is not easy to arrive from airport, it is very convenient to arrive Basel SBB (railway station) by taking Tram 11 for less than 20 minutes. I contributed this to the very good city transportation system in Swiss, jsut like I was in Munich. The tram station is less 5 minutes walking distance from the hotel, and you can buy the ticket on the machine at the tram stop. There I saw the building of Novartis is not far. Breakfast costs Eur7.7. In comparing with another hotel I stayed on next day (Saturday), I wouldn't recommend this hotel for its location (no shopping nor restraunt nearby) as you may have no choice in the evening just stay in room.

Le prix est quand même élevé pour la prestation, rien d'exceptionnel, pas de climatisation malheureusement, du coup nuits compliquées, car chaud dans le studio, et réveil dès les premières lueurs du soleil à cause de rideaux occultant non efficaces. Le petit déjeuner était correct, mais pas fou non plus, pour 15€ par personne... C'est un peu abusé d'avoir des crêpes et pancakes industriel, des jus de fruits venant de concentrés bref, un service qui ne correspond pas du tout au prix payé dans l'ensemble. La piscine elle, est froide.

Ob man ein passendes Zimmer erhält, ist reine Lotterie. Anfragen werden nicht beantwortet, vor Ort kann nicht auf Wünsche eingegangen werden (z.b. kein Zimmer zur Strasse). Der Geruch ist nicht angenehm, in gewissen Zimmern sind Dufterfrischer aufgestellt, was auch nicht angenehm ist in überparfümierten Zimmern zu schlafen. Pool war mehrfach geschlossen, als Erklärung wurden Gäste beschuldigt in einer beleidigenden Art. Ich hatte ca. 30 Übernachtungen hier in den letzten zwei Jahren, es wurde aber immer schlimmer über die Zeit. Das Positive ist die Nähe zu Novartis.

Leider war die Erfahrung sehr enttäuschend. Das Zimmer wies einen unangenehmen Geruch auf und es gab Anzeichen von Insekten in der Wäsche.

Clean, spacious room with kitchenette, great location to explore Basel near bus stop

It was ok. It smells good upon entering the hotel and the staff are friendly. The good thing, its near a tram station.And the indoor pool is also a good additional amenity. But in terms of cleanliness, i was a little disappointed since the shower area can see a trace of calc. Also i thought there is a self service coffee and tea provided on the room, But it was just the machine.

The nighttime desk clerk wasn’t super friendly and, during our time there, often left the desk unattended. The morning desk clerk was much more personable, present, and helpful. We had an issue with some of the power in our room on our arrival and it took some cajoling to get the clerk to take a look (maintenance was gone for the day). He offered to move us to another room the next day, but after getting him to come up it turned out to be a tripped fuse, which he easily resolved. Breakfast wasn’t free, but the selection and quality was very good for a hotel of its classification. Non-French speaking guests, be warned that the TV is only in French with no subtitles so, if you want catch the news or a movie, you’ll be burning your phone’s battery and watch on the small screen. Also, I had really researched bed sizes (they’re different in Europe) and we expected a queen size ( or at least close to it). It was a full and was tight for my 6’-3”, 230 lb husband and I.
