Perfect base for an overnight stay, lots of lovely walks. The breakfast was cooked to order with lots of choice. Very good.

Lovely hotel with a good bar and very reasonable dinner menu. Breakfast was first rate.

Great staff, good food, good location

Food and staff were excellent. However, the hotel was let down by the musty smell in the public areas and the cleanliness of the bathroom, which was not good. No fridge or air con. The hotel was over priced for the accommodation offered.

Nice hotel and room was very nice, good breakfast and dinner was reasonably good too. No elevator was a bit of a problem with the bags, though we did get help when we checked in to get them up two flights of stairs. Internet was very poor, seems they had just changed providers and were having issues

Had a fantastic few days here. Staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. Whenever we asked they always provided an answer to our requests promptly and happily. Charlotte was incredibly informative and passionate in answering our local questions of which her knowledge was invaluable to us. Lovely room we had, being hyper critical it is an old building so the bathroom layout meant you couldn't really have a shower, so bathing it was instead. Had a wonderful stay, highly recommended. Very friendly and welcoming team. Comfortable rooms and friendly, busy bar. Dog friendly without the extra charges that most hotels add. Great access to the hills and Malvern.

So mixed review Firstly the location is great and a lovely building . The first room we had room 15 was very tired so we asked to move and our request was dealt with promptly and professionally and we were move to room 2 This room was much nicer bright and airy although the bathroom floor needs attention and this room would be a 10 rather than a 7 We ate all 3 nights and found the food to excellent as well as breakfast which has a great choice and used the bar which was nice and full of friendly locals. The stand out for us here were the staff they are really pleasant and helpful nothing is too much trouble. We would stay again but would make sure we booked one of the larger rooms such as room 2 as the standard room just wasn’t upto to standard

Perfect for the single traveller. Breakfast choice was good. You can walk to the Malvern Hills, about 1.5 miles or you can drive and park and emjoy the views across the Severn valley and Herefordshire.

Clean and comfortable. Provides what is needed. Pub looked nice but closed when we arrived around 10.

A lovely, cosy hotel with amazing service. The staff were friendly and very helpful.

We liked the quirkiness of the property. The staff were all welcoming and happy to assist. There was some dust in the room. The room felt a little too shabby chic. One of us didn’t enjoy their dinner, the vegetable lasagne was not very good! The breakfast however was excellent.

Rooms underwhelming and need maintenance and refurbishing or prices need to be reduced. Overall Average …

lovely old fashioned hotel. The bedroom was spacious and comfortable- a lovely hotel. Bar was not overly warm due to log fire out of action but overall a lovely hotel. Breakfast was excellent. Booked to stay again
