Excellent hotel and location, great room. Brilliant staff. Good food. You want for nothing and even an excellent golf course next door! 😁

Let down no Aircon ,Room was stifling.Had a fan in the room ,but room was very hot just blowing hot air around also no exstractor in the bathroom very hot in there also could not dry off as sweating to much

Check in was very friendly and we were shown to a lovely big room on the front overlooking the driveway. The room was very hot with only a small fan to help circulate the air. On closer inspection the bathroom was looking in need of a bit of freshening up. The silicone around the bath, shower and sink needed replacing and looked very grubby. There was a mixture of different tiles. The restaurant was sold as being fine dining, for the price it should have been but it lacked seasoning and my fish was over cooked. We saw steaks being returned to the kitchen and over heard another guest complaining at reception the following morning. The staff need more training the description of our bread was ‘ordinary’ with a herb butter. Rather than saying it was a warm speciality bread made by the chef. Because of the choices on the menu and price we decided not to eat in the restaurant on our second night. Breakfast was ok although there was nothing low fat. For medical reasons I needed a low fat option , I asked but they only had full fat yogurt and milk.

Wonderful clean room with many amenities. Exceptional dinner and breakfast all served by very friendly staff. Hotel is in a beautiful setting with lovely large patio, plenty of outside comfortable seating with marvellous views across the gardens. Second time we have stayed here and will definitely be back again!

We arrived late in the evening but were welcomed by reception . We only stayed one night but wished it was longer . Staff at breakfast were amazing - as was the actual breakfast. Lovely to have the opportunity to sit on the patio after breakfast which is idyllic. A beautiful property and staff are friendly and efficient .

Lovely hotel and grounds with excellent restaurant and great service.

The room was clean and had everything you needed, great teas and a pod coffee machine. The furniture was semi antique/replica which was fine. Grounds are beautiful and house itself amazing. Dinner was superb.

Excellent stay at this beautiful hotel and grounds. Staff are super attentive and friendly. Rooms are very quaint and have a lovely spa scent. The spa area although small was a lovely addition. The jacuzzi and massages by Estelle were very relaxing. We had a tasting menu and breakfast at the hotel restaurant which was all very well done. Overall great relaxing weekend getaway. We will be back again and would highly recommend.

The room was lovely and spacious. The furniture was very traditional but you’d expect that at this type of property. The room had a variety of teas and coffees . The home made biscuits were a great addition too . Staff were amazing and made the stay more special due to their attentiveness. All food was exceptional as was the service. The only negative thing I can think of is that there isn’t much to do within walking distance. The grounds were lovely but only took 10 minutes to walk around.

Clean hotel had a comfortable stay . Carpet in the room where I stayed ( carnival 8) needs update as it is very dirty. But overall had a lovely stay

Hotel lovely, bar service needs improvement both evenings we had to wait ages for service then he would disappear again no atmosphere either and very expensive, then we were charged a fee for bringing our drinks to our table on top of service which we didn’t see at check out! All other aspects of the hotel were good although very creaky floorboards but that cannot be helped in such an old building Staff were very friendly Doreen at breakfast was very friendly and kept everything ship shape We upgraded to a premium room which was worth it with beautiful views and a very large room, mattress needs updating as dipped in the middle Overall a lovely stay
