年輕人現代化的管理，人員英文流利，但保持温泉旅館的傳統，非常好！有關山中小昆蟲的處理方法很可愛，餐膳口味比較傳統偏甜，周邊沒有便利店補及零食，入去中之条前要買好。

Simple traditional onsen village nice and lovely place taking bus to there feel so relax People over there are super nice the old lady from the soba restaurant gave me a lovely postcard and the food in hotel are super nice too will definitely visit again

酒店的日菜很好吃也很精緻。唯一不足之處是房間沒有沖涼的地方，要去公众場所沖洗。

Room was clean, only had one bug come into the room and was easy enough to put outside. Staff were friendly, I forget there names but the people who waited on me and at reception were friendly, polite and helpful. Nice and peaceful and onsen was great. Loved the food here, it was the best food I ate in my month long trip to Japan and would 100% come back here

食事最高。 館内のインテリアは和風アンティークな雰囲気が好きな人は好みに合うと思います。 他の宿では障子などほこりが見えてげんなりしてしまうこともあったりしますが、柏屋旅館はよく清掃されていて、お香のかおりも雰囲気があって良いです。

This is a boutique hotel located in Shima Onsen. The hotel has three private onsen baths and two public baths, located near town. The staff speaks English and are always friendly and polite.

Staff was incredibly professional and super nice and welcoming. Even though our arrival was delayed and after checking time, we notified the hotel by mail and there was no issue. We even made it for dinner which was amazing! Can’t wait to be back. Thanks to everyone for all your hard work :)

I really enjoyed my stay at Kashiwaya Ryokan. Although it was long to get to without a car, it was worth the travel. The 2 days there didn’t feel like it was enough time. I will return again for sure. The room was comfortable, the private onsen were beautiful and amazing. The kaiseki served at dinner were delicious and perfectly balanced. The traditional Japanese breakfast (there were Western styled breakfast and brunch at the cafe in Shima Onsen town) was incredible as well. I want to thank the dedicated staff members I interacted with during my stay. They were kind and patient. I don’t recall all their names but I want to thank Hitomi, Yuho and Andrew for their help. I will recommend this ryokan to my friends.

Very friendly staff and exquisit food on top of that. First time visiting a ryokan and was not disappointed! Three private onsens that i could use and very foreign friendly overall. Highly recommend to visit if you want a taste of ryokan life on your trip and worry of your tattoes forsbid you from using the onsen - it is totally ok att this place!

Es war ein wunderschöner Besuch. Klasse Empfang und das Essen war ein richtiges Highlight. Am besten wären die privaten Onsen. Sehr sauber und unkompliziert. Es gab einen kleinen Souvenir Shop und wir konnten sogar shima onsen Badesalz kaufen. Wir kommen gerne wieder :)

Staying at Shima Onsen was a real delight. I would highlight the incredibly friendly and gracious staff, who made me feel very welcome and looked after as a solo traveller, and made the beautiful dining experience even better. I enjoyed walking through the lovely nearby streets and forests - it felt very secluded and tranquil. And there was nothing better than coming back from a big walk to relax into one of the onsen - either public or private, depending on what you preferred. I wish I had more time to stay, but even two nights was enough to feel very rejuvenated.

Amazing staff, awesome food, and the property is more beautiful in person.
