Good size room, a bit aged. Facilities can be improved or repaired.

Two heaters in the room are not in function. What we felt was cold, cold, and cold... only 6 Celsius degree only in the room... you know what, now is November...

Ik las wisselende reviews over Kildonan Lodge dus ik was benieuwd wat ik aan zou treffen. Ik was toch blij verrast. Het is een oud gebouw en in de kamer is dit te zien, maar de kamer was netjes en schoon. Het bed werd iedere dag opgemaakt en de koffie etc. bijgevuld. Er is een waterkoker op de kamer (geen koelkastje). De badkamer heeft een upgrade gehad maar de randjes waren bijvoorbeeld niet gekit en er liepen nog leidingen van een oude radiator. De waterdruk van de douche was niet zo goed. Er is een bushalte voor de deur. Het is ongeveer een half uur lopen naar het centrum. Op 500 meter vind je een winkelcentrum met supermarkten. Je zou ook drinken en snacks kunnen kopen in het hotel. Het was rustig in het hotel dus ik heb geen last gehad van andere reizigers, maar kan me voorstellen dat het gehorig kan zijn. Ik heb een goede aanbieding kunnen scoren waardoor het niet zo duur was. Al met al een positieve ervaring, maar 4 sterren is het niet en de 'originele prijs' zou ik het niet waard hebben gevonden.

Upkeep is starting to slip. Missing grout in the shower, minimal towels, breakfast was disorganized. Only places that the staff recommended to eat were Indian food. When I inquired about other options for dining they gave me a blank look.

Hot water not function properly, the system was very old and not even enough hot water for one person to take shower. Otherwise, the rest is good.

Spacious room, very clean, one of the comfiest beds I've slept in - had a great sleep. Bathtub was a bonus. Strongly recommend and I will stay here again.

The staff were friendly and helpful, however there were some frustrating aspects of the room. The toilet was extremely difficult to flush. The buttons would not work properly, so they sent staff in to take a look. They told me I had to press the buttons very hard to get it to flush...I struggled with this my entire stay. I was able to flush it but it was difficult each time and took me several tries to do so. The television kept freezing and locking up and I kept having to unplug it and restart it to get it to work. The wifi was very spotty and kept dropping connection throughout the stay. I ended up having to just use my phone service as a hotspot instead even though it used up my data. I kept finding several hairs all over the tub and sink that were not mine the first night. It was also quite loud in the evenings, I could hear people talking above me, in the hall, and outside the window through the evening. Additionally, I kept finding small, dead flying bugs on the comforter and had to keep brushing them off. I can appreciate it is an old building, but I do think the Lodge could at least look into replacing the old television and maybe replacing the toilet buttons or fixing them in some way to make it easier to flush. Perhaps a wifi extender as well. No complaints about the staff, however. They were friendly.

The room was dirty and tired with damages throughout. The only reason this rating isn't 1 star is due to the sheets and towels being clean.

It was good, clean, and the staff were nice and welcoming.
