Excellent location, very friendly people.

Easy phone check-in. Enough parking space. The room is spacious and warm. The breakfast is quite good. Highly recommended.

The room was clean but very outdated The toilet struggled to flush effectively The shower head because of wear could only be used in one position but plenty of hot water Personally I don’t like not having a human check in they had a key box and telephone to complete this The staff were very efficient and friendly at breakfast The continental breakfast was good with a good quality choice If you wanted a cooked breakfast this had an additional cost The parking was sufficient The location met our needs and Han a good Grand Union Canal work very close leading to some good pubs to eat The downside to the location was the constant and incessant traffic noise

Small lodge with good/close access to Hemel Hempstead Train Station, and good connections 30 mins from London Euston that run an hour or two past midnight on a weeknight, check in was simple, a quick phone call to the number posted outside Reception to get a code for a key box, and that was Check-in sorted. The room was well presented and well maintained, nice style of room, a mix of old a new gadgets in the room (Old style radio attached to the drawers and Corby Trouser Press, with Wi-fi and a TV also available, as an example when I say a mix) Usual selection of hot drink options ready in the room, next to a list of details and information that I'd need to know about my stay, including check-out, breakfast and other amenities (Laundry, Breakfast times etc) - the breakfast included was a Continental Breakfast (which I didn't have as I missed the window, which ended at 9:00am) - but a paid, cooked breakfast was also available if I would have wanted to go for it. Bathroom was a wet-room with plenty of rails and specialist equipment for people with physical disabilities/mobility issues (shower chair, red emergency pull cords etc.), soap, shampoo and shower gel provided, with 2 fresh bath towels, and a floor mat towel ready. Overall, a nice cosy stay in a place with good access to London **without** needing to drive into any ULEZ zones and incurring extra charges, and free parking while you stay - I recommend this hotel to people who want to stay & visit North/West London

The place was nice the lodges were good. The main downside was tbe breakfast. Continental only on Monday. Not a huge amount of choice plenty of toast but this wasn't anything special. Plenty of places surrounding if you want to eat elsewhere though.

It was a nice place to stay. Lovely breakfast and really nice staff. Room was great, clean and well presented.

The room was worn out and filthy, even the bins weren’t emptied from the previous guest . Noisy early in the morning as workmen in white vans stay here . The photos are misleading as the conservatory fell down ! Left after one night , promised a refund for second by owner in person but never received it despite chasing . Never said this before but avoid here .

Just a room in the middle of nowhere. The room lights didn’t work. The WiFi was diabolically slow to non existent.

A lovely and very reasonably priced hotel. Rooms on two floors set in well maintained grounds. A good continental buffet breakfast was included with option for cooked breakfast made to order. Well located for walks on Grand Union canal, walking or cycling in the Chilterns and 5minutes walk from Hemel Hempstead train station. Would definitely use again.

A lovely, clean hotel with very friendly staff. Great place to stay with helpful information in room. Lovely size room with everything you need. Breakfast was very good with a lot of choice. Staff were very helpful and friendly.

The property is in need of an update . There was an old radio in the room, and pant presser. The toilet seat needs a new one. The carpet needs changing for wood flooring . The bed however was comfortable . Air conditioning would have been appropriate as the fan only distributes the hot air. It was cooler outside in the shade than in the room. We were happy with the breakfast , until the toast arrived and there was mold on the bread . I do t think we will be staying there again, but the owner was friendly and very accommodating. Thank you !

Owner was very friendly and helpful. Parking and access was good. Nice continental breakfast included. Furniture and fittings dated but comfortable.

Really nice place with relaxed vibe. Room serviced to a high standard and very comfortable for out 5 night stay. Breakfast was chill and continental both in size and scope. Will be back

Really nice quiet rooms..like little chalet/cottage rooms. Very clean and was warm in the room as we arrived later due to travelling from Wembley . Comfy clean bed.Bathroom spotless and very nice,lovely soft towels. Breakfast we had to go into the main part of the building,was met by lovely staff. My husband had full English breakfast and I had the continental breakfast. Spoilt for choice! Everything was great. Will definitely stay again if we need to travel to London..which is only 35 mins away.

They’re a little issue getting in with the key box, but apart from that it was an excellent place. Staff was very helpful.
