DiParkr was very helpful at the front desk. He spoke great English and solved a couple of issues that other staff weren't able to fix. I was mortified to see at least 4 big fish in a tiny tank, though. The fish need either a much larger tank, or please take them to a sanctuary or somewhere where they have space to move around. Please! They're not decor. They're living beings who need better treatment. As far as the hotel, it was nice. The pool was nice. Restaurant and buffet were good and most staff were polite and friendly (except one waiter). Location was along the main road which is congested but there's a mall within walking distance, and a supermarket almost across the street. The bathroom in the room was upgraded and nice. The rest of the room was a little old and smelled musty but not bad.

I stayed here for two nights, everytime a single night on my way to my trekking.The rooms were clean and had basic amenities. On my second stay night there was n hot water coming and after talking to front desk they started hot water after 30 minutes. When I ordered room service the order of Omelet came without promised slices of bread and walnut brownie came without Ice cream. On drawing attention they inform that menu choices have changed and they no longer provide it.Room service person did not come to pick up used plates inspite of promised and they remained in room till check out. Have a decent spread of breakfast. Front desk is little slow.

Condition of room is pathetic, smelling half of the lights were not working, toilet exhaust was not working, wash basin was choking, AC adjuster was broken van not adjust AC. Food quality very bad. ordered Mutton and it was not cooked properly. Price is extra ordinary high but quality is very very poor.

Enjoyed the stay at Royal Sarovar. The hotel is conveniently located and if you do not want to go into the heavy traffic of the city it’s great. The room was clean and comfortable. There’s a swimming pool on premises but I did not see a gym. Staff were polite and helpful. Overall, it was a good stay. Left early in the morning so did not get a chance to check the breakfast.

The property is state of worst condition, Aircon not working, stinking Room. I think this hotel is under trouble, Hotels should delist this property from the list

It was an amazing experience to stay at this hotel. The hotel is exceptionally good and very maintained. The restaurant is very good and with swimming pool view. The food is very tasty and staff is highly courteous. Rooms are well decorated and maintained. Overall, it was a very good stay.

We'd used Sarovar in Palampur and while the Royal in Siliguri wasn't quite up to that very high standard it was still very good. We'd highly recommend it for those arriving at Bagdogra after a long journey. We'd completed 36 hours with a sleep on a plane. But after 14 hours in this hotel, including a great nights sleep, we were ready to get underway. We took buffet dinner and breakfast and both were interesting and filling. Service was great from all departments. Arranging onward travel to Darjeeling from the front desk was efficient and actioned with a smile.

The hotel ambience is very good . Restaurant buffet dinner was not so good & service slow. Reception people were good & responsive .

Nice hotel to stay in Siliguri. Its on the main road. The rooms are little old, rest everything is great.

The place was nice with helpful staff. Good food for breakfast buffet. Only drawback was the shower water was warm. Can't take a refreshing hot shower. Overall not bad

I DO NOT RECOMMEND. This place has all the ingredients to be a place I could recommend, but the hospitality service is far from coordinated and hospitable. If you can't find a better place to go, come here extremely patient and be ready to be demanding, and follow-up every single task you need accomplished by the staff. Classic trying hotel, with lack of competition in a dumpy area. The images give you this idea that they're located in the middle of a pastoral area, but it's on busy street where you can hear every sound go by, therefore construction and design is lacking. i.e. watch out, the sinks will spray water onto you and don't think about having a full powered rainshower unless you like a flooded bathroom. The pool is "open" 8am-5pm, but it's not cleaned or setup until at least 9am - loungers, etc. There was also a private party held on the outdoor pool deck, with the music blasting so terribly that the speakers were crackling. I'm a man for the dancefloor, and I was invited to join by the revelers - but I prize my hearing. I can sleep through anything, but we were staying at the front of the hotel and could hear it pounding after midnight. This is important to note, because there is only the indoor lounge to hang out at on this property other than the pool area. The restaurant on site serves good food, buffet 730-1000rps (overpriced), but the wait staff are great at making you wait. And there were only four tables occupied. The room was clean and very comfortable although there was no hot water in the afternoon. Had the pool all to ourselves and very pleasant garden. Food was excellent and staff very helpfull.

Was good. Good amenities. Clean. My daughters stayed and was safe.
