Staff very welcoming and attentive. Room clean, breakfast delicious and dinner delicious

Hotel and room was clean as normal

Stayed here for an overnight on our way to Scotland and it was ideal. Room was perfectly adequate with the most stunning views. The breakfast was amazing. All the staff were friendly. We explored Bamburgh and Seahouses and it is a great location to be able to do that. Would definitely stay again and would recommend.

We loved this hotel. Excellent value. Staff were brilliant. Really helpful and friendly. Room was fairly basic but great price and clean with comfy bed and hot shower. Excellent location and breakfast was lovely. Food in cafe was great and open 24 hrs.

Away overnight to visit the Northumberland Coast. Purdy Lodge is an ideal location to explore the area, easy to find off the A1, comfortable and quiet room and handy to have a Restaurant, Bar and Cafe on site. A pleasant stay.

Excellent location for all the Castles and other attractions nearby including the coast. Suprisingly quiet being so close to the A1. Staff are excellent and the food was good. The property itself needs updating and some refurbishment of carpets, fixtures and fittings including the bathroom.

At first a rather unassuming place along a very busy A1 main road, by a petrol station. Yet, once installed after a swift checkin with a very friendly member of staff, the view on the Northumberland countryside from the bedroom is nice and soothing, and the noise of traffic is absent. There are two options for a dinner, a café and a restaurant. The restaurant is the best for value. Quite a find. And did I mention the nice and helpful staff?

We really enjoyed our stay at Purdys Lodge. So easy to get to, very clean and the staff can’t do enough for you. All very friendly and work together as a team. Really good breakfast. We ate there most evenings as the food offered was very good also the bar offered a good selection of drinks. Although it’s on the A1 all the rooms are on the back overlooking fields so traffic noise is minimal.

I forhold til at det lå langt ude på landet var det et fint sted. Det var ikke luksus, men rent, pænt og stille i forhold til at det må ud til hovedvejen. Positivt overraskende.

Lovely, friendly staff. We had 2 dogs with us and they were welcomed very nicely. The food in the restaurant was very average, although breakfast was excellent. We had a king sized room, which was in my opinion very small. The room was very hot, a fan or air conditioning would be something to consider? The bed was comfortable. Having 2 reasonably large dogs, negotiating the upper floor was relatively difficult.

All of the staff were very welcoming and helpful The food was especially good with breakfasts freshly prepared and tasty. We stayed for two dinners and both were enjoyed by all the party. Very good view from the bedroom which was very quiet as it faced away from the road.

Lovely little hotel at the side of the main road brilliantly situated for Bamburgh, Seahouses about 5/10 min drive. Holy island about 20/30 min drive. Lovely staff, very helpful. Excellent restaurant, food was lovely and fresh cooked. Has a cafe on the side but didn’t get a chance to use, but again looked a good menu. Breakfast was a full English and again a good size! Would definitely use again.

Would have liked a seating area at the rear of the hotel to utilise in hot weather. Access to a fan would be good. Breakfast options excellent

Good food at reasonable prices . Pleasant and helpful staff. Good position for visiting lots of places. We had an enjoyable few days there would definitely go again if we were visiting that area again.
