Parking was easy, the room was clean and the bed comfortable but the towel rail in the bathroom was not working. Breakfast was better than dinner although I have no complaints about dinner.

A small room with double bed. Very clean. Hospitality tray very well supplied. Bathroom with bath with shower over. The staff very friendly and helpful. Excellent evening meal. The room would have benefited from a bedside lamp reached from the exit side of the bed.

Exceptionally clean and fresh-smelling hotel. It's a quirky place that's strangely charming. I really liked it and will be back.

Staff are brilliant, building is understandably old but rooms are in need of some updating. Chair was ripped open and shower is very dated.

Not luxurious but full value for money. Single room had a decent bit of space. It was clean and had all I needed for an overnight stay. Nice hot shower and grand view of the Eildons. Reception staff were friendly and explained the process for late night hotel access very clearly. Would definitely use again.

Bed was a bit short, but that's not really their issue.

I really had a good night at the George and Abbotsford. Unfortunately, I had to leave to early to be able to have breakfast. The staff was really friendly, the parking facilities are a big plus.

Large hotel in need of some upgrading. Friendly staff but ultimately the surroundings were poor & rundown
