A dog friendly gem. We would most definitely be back.

A friendly welcome, great room, comfy bed, nice atmosphere, good food and drink! The location is great at the village is lovely too. The George is very dog friendly with a park very near for the essential walks. We are heading back soon!

Lovely stop on our travel from Inverness to Colchester. Very busy pub and restaurant. We had a very tasty evening meal at the restaurant. Our room in the courtyard was nicely appointed, furnished and comfortable. Bathroom also new with an over bath shower. A great stop in a pretty village. Parking on the property is limited but plenty of on street spaces so not a problem.

Our stay was fantastic from the moment we walked in we where made to feel so welcome, the food was delicious and the dining room is decorated so tastefully and fresh table clothes and napkins made it a wonderful experience, everything was perfect we most definitely be going again 😀

As with previous visits, this was a terrific stay- the hotel and rooms are lovely, the food absolutely first class and the staff very, very helpful; they also managed to sort of booking problem ( at my end, not theirs...) out with the minimum of fuss. Highly recommended.

Our one night stopover on our way south was perfect in every way. Fantastic place to spend a day or two.

Nice old pub in Easingwold with friendly stuff and delicious breakfast. We arrived in the middle of the music festival, and the heat wave, but they did deliver in England win in the World Cup. Room very hot - maybe fans available if this changed climate is going to be a feature would be a good thought

We were made to feel welcome as soon as we stepped in the door, our room was exceptionaly clean with a comfy bed and both breakfast and evening meal was of a very high standard. All the staff were very friendly and took the time to talk to us making us feel very settled in. The location is central in a stunning village, with lots of free parking available.

Really nice hotel that serves amazing food. Room was immaculate and well presented and bathroom nice and clean. Staff were always polite and helpful. Clear to see why it was so busy even mid week. Dedicated car park as well as lots of parking front of property. Would absolutely use again if in the area. Incredible value compared to some larger chains,

The staff were very welcoming and the bar was very busy, which we thought was a good sign. The food in the restaurant was exceptional as was the breakfast. Room was also lovely and comfy

Enjoyable and comfortable one night stay with my wife. Very good dinner in restaurant and great service. Car parking on site is tight and limited but a bonus. Decent breakfast. Only minor suggestion would be to provide a complimentary biscuit/s on the in -room tea tray as this would have been hugely appreciated and only a minor expense to the hotel.

Could not fault anything. The room was excellent. The food was the food was superb . Staff were very friendly.

직원들 모두 아주 친절하고 잘 도와주셨어요. 아주 바쁜 시간에 제가 체크인을 하는데도 매니저 분도 밖으로 나와서 주차 안내를 해주셨고요. 객실은 새로 리모델링 돼서 시설이 모두 깨끗하고 넓었고 호텔 앞쪽에도 무료로 주차할 수 있지만 뒤쪽에 전용 주차장이 있어서 편리하게 사용했어요. 아침 조식도 맛있게 먹었습니다. 특히 호텔에서 함께하는 펍이 아주 인기 있는 곳인지 항상 사람이 많았는데 저희도 아주 만족스럽게 저녁 식사를 해서 추천하고 싶습니다.

Nice location in a pretty part of the world with good facilities and excellent staff

Very nice room and good food. Stayed on business, but the downside is breakfast doesn’t start until 8am, which is too late for business travellers.

My second stay at The George and very enjoyable. I was given a very warm room at the time of a heatwave but was moved without any fuss when I asked. The restaurant staff were excellent even though they were very busy and the food was delicious. Lovely place to stay. Definitely recommend.
