Cleanliness has room of improvement. There are ants in room and blood stain and hair were found in linen and towel. After telling the hotel staff, cleaning lady has made the room more tidy

I arrived Funchal very late at night but luckily they have 24 hrs reception!Even though I speak no Portuguese and the host do not speak any English we do not have a real problem. The next day I asked where is the airport shuttle then he even walk me there since he does not know how to speak in English. Thank you very much.! Funchal is small so this place is walkable to everywhere. =) Very safe place and it's just next to the famous market which i love it very much....Def be back once I return Funchal. Good bed!! and I love they have wifi as welll!!

Nos tocó el lado de la calle y es bastante ruidoso. Al haber adoquines en la vía, se amplifica todo. Las camas son muy cómodas, el trato amable, pero no tiene ascensor. El primer piso está en una segunda planta y si la maleta es pesada, no tienes ayuda. El techo tenia humedades sin arreglar. El baño limpio, luminoso pero sin ventilación. La luz de la habitación era amarilla y pobre. No teníamos mucho espacio dos personas en la habitación. También sólo nos dieron una llave para dos personas. El aparcamiento es un problema de la zona, solo tiene lineas azules de tiempo limitado. Juan nos informó de todo y de recomendaciones para comer y aparcar el coche. Gracias. Recomendado si te toca una habitación interior si quieres alejarte del ruido.

Juan nous a donné de bons conseils, très réactif dans les échanges. Accueil en autonomie vu nos horaires d'arrivée et de départ dans la nuit. Nous sommes ravis d'avoir pu résider dans cette auberge fort pratique. Je recommande.

A nice hotel in the very center of Funchal with everything at hand. I was pleasantly surprised by daily room cleaning and towel change, as well as common kitchen where you can get utensils and plates. The building is in the old district so it's not the most modern, which goes for furniture as well. Everything was functional, the beds were comfortable. The sound isolation is not good, but in the night there is quiet period as well as no traffic on the street so no issues with noise. Only bad thing i noticed is extremely dim lights in the room, which made it a bit too dark after sunset.

This wasn’t bad but it wasn’t great. Convenient location in the heart of the city and next to the market. The room was very basic. The shower flooded the first time I used it because the curtain covered the hole and the water rose quickly. If you open the windows, there is the smell from a kitchen frying food outside. But it is budget accommodation in the heart of the city.

There's a community kitchen available which was nice. It was quiet and conveniently located. There is no elevator.

The room looked nothing like the pictures. The picture of the front of the property is actually on a different street in Funchal. There was a light switch hanging loose from the wall. The TV plug would not reach the socket. The sink and shower blocked up and overflowed as soon as they were used. The flooring was unclean and damaged. The balcony (I use that term very loosely here) overlooked an extractor and vent from the eatery next door which was belching out fumes constantly. There were two dirty and broken chairs outside, which I presume were for residents. We had no tea or coffee making facilities in the room, and the shared kitchen, which was two floors above us, was a complete mess and didn't look like it had been cleaned for a while. We stayed for one night, after having booked a week and that was enough. We were lucky to be able to find somewhere else to stay. When we left the property, we were unable to find any staff to speak to. I messaged the owner, but have yet to hearback. Would not recommend this place to anyone. Steer well clear.

Descriptif mensonger. Pas de réception de cet endroit miteux. On vous appelle pour vous emmener à une autre adresse. Très grand mais très très salé et nid de guêpe ds la sdb. On propose un autre endroit où on peut aller sans nos valises et rechanger le lendemain. Bref je déconseille fortement
