Hotel Ambrose is located in downtown Montreal (Rue Stanley), close to McGill University, Museum of Fine Art and Saint Catherine Street. The concierge was friendly and helpful. A little con is that wifi signal in the room is not stable. Bathroom is small (shower only) but enough for a short stay. Overall it's worth the value.

Fabulous location for downtown. Clean linens and room. Economical. Honest staff who located an e-reader we left in our room.

The location is excellent - near to shops and restaurants. We appreciated the 3 well-laid out beds in the family room. The beds were so comfortable and the linens & towels lovely and soft.

Friendly, helpful staff; convenient location; delicious chocolates given in room; parking available. The place is under construction so much of the hotel is disheveled and dusty. The room looks out to a parking lot and other buildings and the windows didn’t open.

Stayed at Ambrose Hotel with my friend for a few nights (we both 20 something year old females) and it was a perfect, on-budget place for our stay. Nothing fancy but in a nice area, clean, quiet, and charming.

Personnel courtois. Chaine toilettes semblait tourner dans le vide, du faire appel au concierge 1 première fois, puis en rentrant le soir carte de magnétisé je ne pouvais pas entrer dans la chambre et rappeler le concierge 2ie x même journée. Il y avait des grosses coulisses sur le miroir de SDB...pas tres propre. Et plusieurs parties de mur en décomposition. Mais bon. Le cafe etait bon et une réduction pour les client. A part ca c etait ok.

Bon rapport qualité-prix. En fait, le prix est plus bas que les autres hôtels du quartier et la qualité du lieu est alignée au prix. Les chambres ont effectivement besoin d'amour, mais demeurent fonctionnel pour un court séjour. De plus, le chauffage avait été coupé pendant la journée (hiver, -25), il a fait froid pendant une bonne partie de la nuit, le temps que la pièce se réchauffe. Très bien localisé, à moins de 5 min du métro.

Check in was easy, room was perfect. A few spots where the walls could use some paint but it was cute, convenient and cheap!
