Hotel Tropis is nicely located with an easy walk down to old town Tropea. Room was nice, but a bit outdated. The view was good. The property was clean. Areas for improvement include coffee makers in the room because you could only get coffee from the barista when dining area was open. The service staff were great, but the front desk staff were rude. The food was OK — not great. As a resort, there really was nothing “resort” about it. They proposed charging a “resort fee,” plus charging for pool towels and charging to use the gym. If it is a resort, then all of those items should not have a charge. The parking was available, but not convenient. The gym is absolutely the worst. The location is a closed-off basement with no sunshine; the equipment is old; and in order to access it you need the front desk to come with you to let you in.

Great hotel, spacious room, sea views, close to the old town, great breakfast even out of season! Very friendly and helpful staff!

This hotel is located just outside of the town center. It is about a three minute walk to the middle of Tropea. The hotel is very nice and well-maintained, it has a large pool and is very quiet.

It was a beautiful place to stay and close walking distance to the main streets and attractions.

Great property

When we arrived at the hotel and checked into our room the air conditioning in the room was not working. We reported the issue to front desk several times between our arrival and the following day and were without air conditioning the entire day we checked in, all night and the next day. The temperature in the room was 27 degrees. We were unable to stay in our room. They moved us to another room only to sleep at 330 in the morning. They refused to allow us to stay in the room with working air conditioning as they advised it was booked. We asked for a reimbursement of our stay and the manager refused. They advised that it would take an additional day to fix the issue. They only offered us the air conditioned room once we were packed and advised that we were leaving the hotel. We refused to stay due to the rudeness of staff and management and the stress of the stay. Tropea was the last leg of our trip where we wanted to relax before heading back home and it was the most stressful part of our vacation. We were not able to stay in our room due to the extreme heat and management refused to reimburse our stay. I would not recommend this hotel because of the rudeness and inefficiencies of management of the hotel.

I liked hotel in general. Look a bit old fashioned way, but in best way possible. Super clean, staff polite and friendly, good breakfast (simple products, but very good quality).

Hotel itself is very Italian in best old school way. The staff is friendly. Hotel is clean. The location for some people could be a bit difficult to reach as it is on the mountain, but the view speak for itself, so it’s worth. I was living in a room with a seaview. Breakfast is simple, yet tasty. All products look very natural and authentic. I appreciated best fruits at breakfast buffet.

I loved the hotel it eas just far enough of the action. 5 min walkto everything so very quiet wen you get back. Nice pool. Only down side i could put is morning buffet alwas the same not cooked bacon and small hotdog sausage everyday. Would need a little effort to spice it up a bit. Otter thant that all ok.

Amazing hotel with amazing breakfast and dinner options! Wonderful staff especially Giulia and Benito. Walking distance to the town! Amazing pool as well!

They charged 2 euros to go to the gym which makes no sense. They charge to rent towels for the beach and they charged for waters in the rooms. Essentially a tourist trap but not really. Depends if you care about the little change they ask for.

VERY LATE CHECK IN , WE ARRIVED AT 1.30AM AND REALLY APPRECIATE THE SERVICE

We had no water facilities in room or tea and coffee our electric was switched off before we checked out so we couldn’t have a shower that morning before we booked out we had a 8 hour journey ahead we had to ask the maid to let us back in after breakfast as the key had been suspended air conditioning wasn’t brilliant we were on the top floor

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Tropis Hotel. The hotel staff is friendly and welcoming. Our room was excellent and very clean. We would definitely recommend Tropis Hotel for your stay in Tropea.

WE had to make an emergency stay at the last moment. Pleasantly surprised at how beautiful Tropis is. The grounds were beautful. The rooms were very nce and the Staff was extremely courteous. Speaking English to guide us through an already frustrating day. The price per night may be a bit on the high-end, but absolutely worth every penny!
