Excellent stay here! Specially the service from two gentlemen at front desk, they were being helpful and tried to book cab for us (finding cab is headache in Kyoto!), Also they were able to speak English! The hotel is clean generally, you get a free little complimentary snack box daily if you chose no house keeping service during your stay. Very convenient location from hotel to Gion Shijo where u get all the shopping & food and also easy to walk to Kiyomizu-Dera temple (10 mins walk)! Lovely stay and not to forget to try the traditional Japanese dinner at the hotel! It was nice too!

酒店雖然不多房間，但是面積空間都比一般酒店寬躺，整體感覺十分好！員工態度友善親切，房間整潔舒適。 酒店地點不錯，接近多個著名旅遊景點，無論到公園或古舊街道都十分方便，需要租用和服，不需要5分鐘便可找到。

This is the first and the best hotel I had in Japan The service are great, people are really nice and awesome Special thing is, they said my japanese speaks very well~~~ The room are tidy and clean, they got everything I need The welcome snacks are great The big hot spring area is awesome!!

服務人員雖然不會說中文，可是態度非常親切，也很努力用各種方式和我們溝通，讓人感覺很溫暖和安心。

Our stay was overall okay. It's a clean hotel with nice tatami. The staff helped us with luggages as well. The welcome staff was over-explaining a lot of details that were contained on the paper given to us. He also asked/told us many times about the breakfast provided at the hotel even though we told him we didn't want it at the beginning. This made us feel that he was very sales-y. There was no bathroom amenity provided. You needed to buy everything. They say that it's due to environmental reasons. The only pillow was way too thin and flimsy. It almost feels non-existent. This last suggestion is more personal preference: this is a hotel in Kyoto, I expected some complimentary tea bags! There was only drip coffee provided to us.

This place is beautiful! If you’re looking for an awesome spot in central Kyoto within walking distance to some major locations, look no further. We loved everything about this stay. Clean rooms, great service, and a traditional vibe. Thank you for a wonderful stay in Kyoto!

清水寺や高台寺の観光名所も徒歩圏内で、スタッフの方々、全ての皆様がとても気が利き親切で感動しました。お部屋はお風呂場など場所により寒かったですが、室内細かいところまで綺麗にされていました。夜ご飯は近くの老舗イタリアンを予約して外でいただきました。今度はお宿の夜ごはんをいただき、またぜひお伺いしたいお宿です。

スタッフさんの対応はとても丁寧で心地よく感じました。 さすが料理旅館だけあって、お料理はとても美味しかったです。お節にお雑煮にと京都のお正月料理をいただけたのもよかったです。

朝食、夕食共にとても美味しかったです。 スタッフの方のご丁寧な対応とても感動しました。

Would highly recommend this property and Guin as a location to stay while in Kyoto. Quite a bit to see and learn in walking distance, the staff was very helpful, the view from the room of the temple bell tower and bath was amazing.

Uma experiência diferente, mais tradicional, ótima localização!

最上階の展望浴室の部屋を選びました。 まず、部屋のふすまが1箇所破れていました。 子供連れのため、子供が破ったと言われないようにすぐにいいました。 次に、部屋の電気が切れかかっていたのでずっとチカチカ。 スタッフさん呼んで確認してもらいましたが、外そうとした蛍光灯からホコリが。 結局対応出来ないので、別の部屋を用意してもらいました。 四階から三階へ移動。 布団は運んでもらいましたが、荷物は自分達で。 風呂目当てで予約したので、ふた部屋使わせてもらいましたが、行き来で手間かかりました。 折角の京都旅行なのに残念でした。 部屋もそれほど綺麗ではありませんでした。 全体的にあのクオリティであの値段は流石に外国人価格なのかなって思うくらい低いです。 日本人より余裕ある外国人狙いなのかなって思います。 子供いたのでクレームは言いませんでしたが、おすすめはしません。

El personal, la habitación muy bonita pero encontramos una pequeña cucaracha y el desayuno muy bueno pero las bebidas se limitaban a un solo vaso de té y un solo vaso de jugo o café

The location is amazing! I knew making the reservation the location would come at a cost. The convenience to all the major attractions in the Gion neighborhood made the price worth it. The staff is very welcoming and accommodating. The rooms on the fourth floor have deep bathtubs to soak in after a long day of sightseeing. We would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to experience an authentic Japanese hotel.

The staff was exceptional. Check in was pleasant and professional. The staff assisted us with any part of out stay we needed. They ordered a taxi for our early morning trip to the bamboo forest, directed us to the near by shrines we had wanted to see, brought coffee pack to our room so we didn't have to wait.
