A lovely hotel in the middle of it all. A wonderful, friendly proprietor. So grateful for the very early check-in. It was unexpected. The room was comfy. The location can't be beat. It did get loud outside on Friday and Saturday night being across the street from a bar and club, but nothing ear plugs or headphones can't take care of.

We loved the funky décor. The room was large and comfortable. The location was perfect, and the hotel manager showed us the best place to park our rental car so we didn't have to pay the exorbitant city parking rates. The only drawback was the late night noise from partiers coming from the three nightclubs on Friday and Saturday nights. I am a very light sleeper so it kept me awake, but for the most part it didn't disturb my husband.

Perfect location downtown Reykjavik right on Austurstaeti which is a big tourist street full of restaurants pubs museums and shops. also connects to the rainbow road! loved the hotel vibe, very cool decor in the lobby. pet the lobby cat! the room was super comfy and the shower pressure was insane! great hotel great spot

The location was excellent in that it was very central. They failed to say that that they were next too two very loud bars They also failed to mention that they adopted a stray cat s their mascot that regularly lived in the lobby. As I am HIGHLY allergic to cat dander, I did NOT appreciate this. I had asked for a quiet double room and was given a twin bedroom next to the elevator and over the bar and spent 2 sleepless nights. I then left the hotel for 4 nights to seek refuge with a friend up north and was re assigned to a quiet double in the back which I appreciated I am not too sure on the housekeeping which failed to replenish my coffee capsules unless it is the hotel policy to only comp you two free capsules on a 12 night stay. The location was brilliant and I only wish they were more upfront of their building problems and mascots giving me an opportunity to book elsewhere. So on transparency a 0 and on location a 4, overall a 3

The staff was friendly and the location is excellent, right in the heart of the city and within walking distance of all the points of interest.

All the front desk staff were extremely helpful in all needs and requests.

I loved staying at this hotel. It was very clean and comfortable. The location is great as well. The street is a bit loud because of bars, but I couldn't hear the noise with the window closed. I would stay here again.

Lovely hotel. Very clean and accessible. Reception staff always very helpful.

Amazing staff and rooms. Easily walkable and safe area. Regardless of what you're told by the staff, please park at the city hall garage. It's less than 30 a night, parking on the street is confusing and a nightmare.
