The receiptist is helpful for providing travel information to me on my first day of arrival. The breakfast is very good. The breakfast have varity of food.

The Hotel located near city centre, but situated downhill. If you have heavy luggage, I suggest you take taxi. The breakfast is very good. I can enjoy a varity of food. I stay in this hotel for two days. It is so nice for the receiptionist allow me to check in early so that I can take rest early in the hotel after travelling. For two days staying, the smell of pesticide is too stronge after hotel cleaning. When I come into hotel room. I cannot help to open both french window to dilute the smell of pesticide on the first day. On the second day, after cleaning, there is a strong smell of pesticide as well. I find dormant insect bite me. I feel itch on my skin. I do the same by opening both french window to dilute the stronge smell of pesticide. However, one of the french window near the bedside is blocked by the pillow and bedside cabinet. I remove it and climb to open the bedside french window. I find the bedside french window is very dirty which is cover with bird feces. I feel uncomfortable and do not open the bedside french window. As there is only one window for me to open to dilute the smell of pesticide. It take several hours to dilute the smell of pesticide.

I spent 6 nights in the Recital and overall I enjoyed it. I was on the top floor and had a small private terrace. The room was spacious, I had booked a deluxe single but the room had a single bed and a double bed. The bed was reasonable comfortable and the pillows were excellent. Despite being on the top floor, I was unfortunately next to the stair access to the roof terrace. This is advertised as closed 11pm to 7am for the comfort of those on the 5th floor but this is not the case. It was ok initially as the first couple of nights it was raining, but a large tour group of loud (is there any other kind?) Americans arrived in the hotel and behaved like they owned the place. I was up late generally but some nights it was almost 1am before the last people came down and they obviously weren’t quiet. The door to the terrace creaked a lot and would bang loudly if not closed gently. Breakfast was ok. It was quite samey day to day, and they didn’t have any bread for toast after day 4 which I found strange. Hot options were limited and of wildly varying quality. Nothing was labelled so there was an element of trial and error with the more unusual dishes. They have a gym supposedly in the basement which I visited on day 1 and not again. It was in poor condition. One gym mat that must have been at least a decade old. Staff were pleasant. Everywhere was immaculately clean. Despite this though, I would be unlikely to stay again if I ended up returning to Istanbul.

Recital Hotel was Clean, Neat, Comfortable and the Staff are the X Factor. Mariam and her Colleague at the Front Desk, Buse at the Breakfast Bar, The Bell hops ( Apologies did not make a note of their names). are Very Professional yet Friendly, Nice and always willing to help and assist. Clean room, Kind staff, Nearby famous place

Lovely small hotel with lovely staff and great service. The hotel was within walking distance of the harbour and landmarks and there were lots of restaurants and shops nearby.

The property was very nice in appearance. Our room was on the first floor overlooking a small park, which had people in it all night carrying on conversations right outside of our window. The bed was not comfortable, was two twin size beds pushed together to make a king with two separate duvet covers on it in order to cover the bed surface. Perhaps it’s a Turkish thing, but there were no face cloths in the bathroom for showering or cleaning yourself. Location has excellent access to all of the sights in the old city area.

We had a great holiday in Istanbul at the Hotel Recital. The location is very central and within walking distance of many attractions. Our room was comfortable and clean. Special thanks to Engin and Buse who served breakfast! We would love to come again.

Wir hatten ein sehr schönes Zimmer im obersten Stiock. Holzboden, Balkon, alles sehr gut - überraschend gut für ein 3 Stern Hotel. Super Location zum Grand Bazaar. Werde gerne wieder hier logieren.
