Need to walk up staircase to rooms on first or second floor, clean and tidy, well maintained. Double glazed window keeps out noise. Good value for price.

Excellent stay as always. Great value for money. Staff very helpful and upgraded my room to an en-suite.

Only two little issues, one was the shower was fine but water sprayed everywhere when trying to wash and secondly which I know you cannot fix is it’s close to railway station so hear trains up till 2 in the morning if bathroom door isn’t closed, besides that room was nice and overall it was a nice stay.

10/10 me and my partner very much enjoyed our stay here, amazing staff only happy to help, great location, nice building, rooms were clean and very comfortable, also very peaceful. James c

We were fortunate to have a huge room overlooking the grounds, huge bathroom, the decor was good it's just a shame that it's not been finished off very well, just small things like the bathroom door not fully shutting, toilet seat very loose, the step between the bedroom and bathroom not finished the grouting not completed ,but for what we paid we can't complain. The cleaning was ok until we pulled out the single bed to find crisp packets etc. Very thoughtful with cups , cutlery, bowls etc. Lovely grounds but a shame the tennis courts and pool were not maintained but that's a sign of the times.

Good value. Parking is a bonus.

Brilliant location for the town center and railway station

I stayed for one night the room was basic but clean with a tv microwave towels kettle and tea and coffee. The bed was not very comfortable and there was no shower gel provided plus only 1 toilet roll left. On the positive side it was a cost effective way to stay so close to the railway station and town centre. There was no breakfast option but I just took a porridge pot. I would stay again if it was available for say a football match for a night. If you are on a tight budget it’s perfect

Price reflects the condition of the room which was ‘well worn in’. That said, my stay was comfortable and quiet although the Guesthouse is close to the main railway.

2nd time I've stayed here and the value for money is second to none. Whilst the rooms are basic, they still have a TV, kettle with tea and coffee and a fan heater should it get too cold. The most important aspect and what drew me back again is that everything is clean. A fresh towel and unopened soap provided, the bedding is crisp and spotless. At the end of the day it's a place to sleep, and that the owner obviously cares for cleanliness is obvious. Very friendly and helpful host. Bargain!
