Evening Mail a bit of a disappointment as two things were off the menu that I chose however breakfast was brilliant and the staff were very very helpful

Had an amazing stay and the staff were lovely. Would definitely recommend!

We had a lovely stay overall. The hotel is in a great, lively location and one of the biggest advantages is the free parking, which is very difficult to find in this area. The staff were friendly and helpful, the hotel and room were clean, and the breakfast was lovely. It was also convenient having a decent restaurant on site. Unfortunately, the biggest downside was the lack of air conditioning in the room, especially during the extremely hot weather. A Dyson fan was provided, which was appreciated, but during very high temperatures it only circulated warm air and did not make the room comfortable. Our particular room was also located right next to the kitchen extraction vent, meaning that opening the window resulted in hot air and food smells coming directly into the room. We asked whether it would be possible to move rooms and although the staff were polite, we were told there were no alternatives available. I understand that not all rooms may have this issue, but I do feel this particular room should perhaps not be allocated during very hot weather conditions, as there is very little way to cool it down. Overall, it is a nice hotel with friendly staff, good facilities, cleanliness, lovely breakfast and excellent parking — but our room location and the heat made the stay less comfortable than it could have been.

Very nice staff. Breakfast good. Wi fi and no signal to phone. And our watches changed to French time thought it was a ghost. Lady told me sometimes goes to French time as so close to country. Bit tatty needs a paint refresh. Was able to park as mon- wed doubt if you would park other than that. Dogs at breakfast not seen that before

We had a lovely 3 night stay at The Botany Bay Hotel. We brought our little dog and he was made most welcome. The staff are amazing, the food is great at the setting is beautiful. Can't praise it highly enough.

We stayed at room 504 which was a superior sea view room. The pictures of the room make it seem like there is a balcony, however, this is not the case. It is more like a railing. The double doors do open and the view is beautiful. The room itself was spacious and clean. Can get hot during the heat wave/ peak summer season but we were given a dyson fan. There was coffee making facilities, however, no fridge but fresh milk left in the room. The room was hot so we did not want to try the milk. The bathroom however does need some maintaining. The flush handle was about to break, the sink had a massive crack in it, the drains were very rusty, the non-slip bath mats were very dirty and brown and the bathtub was extremely small with a fixed showerhead on the wall. The breakfast was lovely but the service can be quite slow at peak times and during weekends on hot weather days. I would advise to be at breakfast quite early. Staff are very friendly and will always try and help. In conclusion, I do think the rooms do need a makeover and some renovation but location of hotel is perfect as are the staff.

Pleasant stay but found short hair on the bed. Rest of the room was very clean, very pleasant staff while receiving the key. Good breakfast. Dinner had to wait for a while but food was delicious.

Very nice everything was great

Fab location, close to the beach, about 40 minute walk from centre of Broadstairs. Lovely veranda to enjoy meals and drinks outside in the good weather.

Room was a good size and clean. Staff on arrival were great. Good choice of drinks at the bar and food looked good. Rooms were a bit warm considering the unusuallu hot heatwave but they had Dyson fans which helped. Nespresso coffee machine was a great touch, iron and ironing board in room. I would stay again. One frustration: Breakfast! Turned up, guy came over in seconds asked room number. Walked over to get juice, no glasses, would have got toast, no small plates, waited 10 mins then asked for service, person was cleaning a table and said someone will be over soon, few mins later the table behind us asked how long their food would, turned out their food had been forgotten so had to reorder, soon as they reordered we asked if we could order too as we were more than ready, was told they'll be over in a min, 5 later still no one...more than 25 mins of no service we walked and told the lady at reception who offered to take our order. As we left I could see 3 waiters looking at us talking, probably about us leaving, I was surprised they had the time to chat considering we waited so long to get served.

The stay was excellent. Staff were super helpful and friendly. The food from the restaurant was great too. Overall a lovely experience. Would definitely come back.

Wonderful welcome from the lovely receptionist and nice restaurant service at dinner. Beautiful, comfortable and clean room with great additions like coffee machine, tasty cookies, fan and lovely toiletries. Our only complaint was that breakfast was a bit slapdash with items like bread & orange juice having run out, wrong drinks brought out and a long wait for food.

Lovely place to stay, staff are friendly, professional and helpful. Food is great (both the restaurant and the hotel breakfast), location is amazing. Only negative was the road to get there which was completely blocked up due to cars parked on either side - not at all the fault of the hotel and nothing they could have done, it was a relief to get into the hotel car park! Will definitely stay here again next time we’re in the area.

The hotel is showing its age, but parking was okay. We were there at the end of May, and the room was quite warm; the only window that could be opened was tiny, which wasn't helpful. It must be unbearable in the room during the summer. Breakfast was decent, and the staff was friendly. We had dinner at the hotel, which was rather mediocre.

Breakfast Menu was extensive and food was excellent.

We couldn’t fault this hotel, our room and the food was lovely, staff were really friendly. Lovely range of teas/coffee/sweets in the room. Midway between Broadstairs and Margate a nice coastal walk to both. We will definitely book again.

Wonderful position and sea views are spectacular

Fantastic location, literally next to botany bay, 10mins walk to another beach and minutes drive away from Broadstairs itself and Margate. Lovely hotel, the family suite was very large and comfortable. Breakfast was plentiful with many options. We would definitely stay again. Only minus was the cleaning, it wasn't dirty per se, but spots missed.
