There are some elements to consider when booking which are not clearly displayed on the website: -your curtains in your room will need to remain closed if you want privacy in your room, since the room is completely surrounded by high buildings, providing insight in your room. -we were travelling with "small" children. We were only informed during check-in that children are only allowed in the pool between 8.00 and 12.00. This information is not present when booking. Very unfortunate since it was no longer possible to go swimming after the hike. -we were at Clervaux 1 hour earlier than the agreed check-in: although the room was ready, a check-in 1 hour before was only possible with an additional fee of 50€. Besides that, -the breakfast is decent (not excellent). The service during breakfast is very good and personnel is very reactive on coffee machines, cleaning up tables, ... -the adult beds are comfortable, the additional bed for the 3rd person not at all. -the bathroom is clean and spacy -carpet floor everywhere (except bathroom): not fully hygenic. -the location is excellent (starting point of some very beautiful hikes).

Incontournable à Clervaux et dans la region

The hotel location was great and our room had a good view of the castle. We stayed for 5 nights. The biggest surprise was when we walked into the room. The room had a bad smell, like sewage/ bathroom smell as we walked in. Once the air conditioning starts going and air starts circulating, smell goes away. But next day when we leave the room taking the key out, AC stops working and when we come back later in the day, the room greets us with a same bad smell. We informed the front desk on the 2nd day. All the staff, including Lorraine from the front desk was very helpful. But they could not get the smell resolved. So what we did was to leave one key card the next day when we left the room so that the air circulation will be in place and we won't be greeted with the bad bathroom smell as we walk in. There were 2 TVs in our suite but no remotes. There was a world cup game going on and we had to use the buttons at the back of the TV to change channels & volume. After reminding 3 times, we got our remotes on 3rd day. We also noted the shower water was getting slow to drain by the 3rd day. By 4th day, the water would flood the bathroom floor if we didn't stop taking the shower to let water drain. The hotel can improve the direction to the reception as it is in the back of the hotel. Finding it on the first day is like a treasure hunt. The breakfast buffet was ok. We had it on one day. There is nearby bakery with good pastry and coffee.

chambre étais dans nos attende mais pas bien dormi trop chaud juste un bémol au resto manque de l accompagnement pas proposer lors de la demande juste notre table...par le serveur wifi ok pdéj parfait bcp de choix et très bon dans autre 4**** mieux dans nos attende pour des prix similaire ou moins cher

Nos quedamos en una suite en la parte moderna de éste hotel Le clervaux Design hotel y Spa, lo que resultó una grata experiencia romántica, con una hermosa arquitectura al interior de la habitación, combinando diseños elegantes y contemporáneos de muy buen gusto... Baños muy modernos con buenas amenidades, así como batas y pantuflas, los cuales son detalles que se valoran mucho. Cama súper confortable brindando una estancia tranquila y relajante. El hotel en general tiene una ubicación inmejorable, cuenta con 2 restaurantes y zonas para relajar como piscina y sauna, perfecto para una escapada romántica el fin de semana. Personal en lobby atento y muy amables. Sólo doy 4 estrellas, ya que al momento de hacer el checking tuvimos que esperar más de 1 hora para recibir la habitación y sólo después de las 16:20 pudimos hacer el ingreso a la habitación, lo que retrasó nuestros planes no pudiendo hacer uso de la zona húmeda que era lo que mas ilusión nos hacía. Por otro lado al usar la ducha y bañera en la habitación el agua por alguna razón salía completamente fría...tuvimos avisar en recepción, pero ellos muy amablemente lo solucionaron de inmediato. Por lo demás muy bien todo, instalaciones bien cuidadas y desayunos muy completos. Repetiría nuevamente para desconectar y relajar con mi pareja y hacer uso completo del hotel y sus instalaciones.

Staff was great, room exceeded our expectations and several excellent restaurants nearby.

Nous avons passé une soirée très agréable. Le seul regret, c’est que nous avons mis un peu de temps à trouver l’entrée. Pour le reste, tout était très bien.

Mooi en proper hotel. Alles tot in de puntjes afgewerkt. Heel uitgebreid ontbijt. De spa mogelijkheden vereisen naakt te gebeuren, wat voor ons geen probleem was, maar sommige mensen schrikken daarvan heb ik gemerkt. Mooie locatie, voldoende parkeergelegenheid overal en goeie locatie om als uitvalsbasis te dienen voor de streek.

De suite chateau was ruim en had een mooi uitzicht op het kasteel. Het derde bed was een slaapbank, maar deze was zeer oncomfortabel. De ligging van het hotel was heel sfeervol (midden in het dorp, bij de bezienswaardigheden en de natuur). Het spagedeelte in het hotel was erg mooi. Wij vonden het wel jammer dat in de sauna's badkleding niet was toegestaan. Het ontbijt was erg lekker en uitgebreid. Tip: als je in het laagseizoen komt, kun je gratis parkeren naast het hotel.

The hotel receptionist Pedro was fantastic. He was professional, helpful and kind. He should be promoted to manager. The kitchens delivered up delicious food. Our server in the restaurant was forgetful though. We stayed one night in the Design hotel and the other night in the Kroener connected sister hotel. Both of our rooms were beautiful, well decorated, spacious and clean. I recommend these hotels.
