Lovely small hotel n the centre of Barnard Castle. Very comfortable room, and dinner was top notch!

Location was good, amenities very good, the offsite room was slightly small for our two suitcases. When they say that parking is limited they are not wrong but it is also quite difficult to get into with a slightly bigger cast - especially for Australians already struggling with the parking in the UK 🙂. However we were lucky to find parking near the offsite room. Hotel itself is lovely and the dinner and breakfast very good. Staff were excellent.

Nice spacious room overlooking the main street. Some privacy curtains would be nice as not sure if you can see in from street.

The hotel was in a good location in the centre of Barnard Castle. The room was nice and clean and the bed very comfortable. There was tea and coffee in the room including decaff which was appreciated. The breakfast choice was good and the items we chose were excellent.

I cannot fault this hotel, Top marks for everything especially service and excellent food

Lovely independent hotel in the centre of Barnard Castle. Room was really warm, comfy and spacious, had everything we needed and spotless. Staff throughout our visit were fabulous - from reception to housekeeping to bar. Had plans with family who live nearby so didn’t get to try the restaurant but menu looked great and was busy all of the time. Excellent value for money.

Very comfortable and spacious en suite room - food was very good - superb breakfast. Staff all very attentive and welcoming- I would highly recommend this establishment!

It was cozy and neat. They do not have an elevator, so I had to bring my heavy suitcase to the 2nd floor. The food was good, they serve very nice lunch.

Staff are really friendly & helpful. Room was spacious, comfy bed, excellent shower, a good sleep was had. Wi-Fi and mobile signal were spot on. Parking in the street was available. Al in all an fabulous place.
